When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any household rules. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while also respecting their space and cues. I’m very mindful of safety and cleanliness — keeping doors secured, monitoring pets during walks or outdoor time, and leaving the home as I found it. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel at ease while they’re away.

Emma was great with our dogs over a long weekend for house-sitting. The dogs took right to Emma and she took very good care of them with extra play time. Her communication was great throughout our trip which helped keep us at ease while we were away.
Emma has watched both my dog, Domino, and my cat, Dexter, multiple times, and I truly can’t recommend her enough. She is incredibly reliable, communicative, and clearly experienced with animals of different needs and personalities. Emma is excellent at following schedules and instructions, including administering medication, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with regular messages and photos, and I always felt confident that my pets were safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Most importantly, Domino and Dexter absolutely adore her — which says everything. It’s clear she takes the time to build trust with each pet and treats them like her own. I always come home to happy, relaxed pets and a clean, well-maintained space. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine, allowing me to provide attentive, consistent care, follow established routines, and spend quality time with pets throughout the day. - Before caring for a pet, it’s helpful for me to know their daily routine, including feeding times, walks, and naps, as well as any diet restrictions, allergies, medications, or health concerns. I also like to learn about their energy level, favorite activities, and how they interact with other pets and people. Knowing any behavior quirks, fears, or triggers—such as anxiety, loud noises, or being alone—helps me provide the best care. Finally, I ask about potty or litter box routines, house rules, sleeping arrangements, and vet and emergency contact information to ensure each pet stays safe, comfortable, and happy.
