What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals of all kinds and my comfort caring for pets with different needs and personalities. I’ve grown up around cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, and many different breeds throughout my life, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I also have previous experience working in a vet care setting, which helped me become confident handling animals, recognizing behavior changes, and assisting with more specialized care. At home, I care for a special needs cat who requires medication, so I’m very comfortable administering meds and following detailed care routines. Because of this background, I’m especially patient and attentive with senior pets, anxious animals, and pets who need extra care or medication. I always try to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow feeding schedules closely, make sure pets get plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, and bathroom breaks, and I’m comfortable giving medications when needed. I also make sure the home stays clean and cared for while owners are away, including cleaning litter boxes, picking up after pets, bringing in mail/packages, and keeping owners updated with pictures and messages.

Emma did a wonderful job with our senior dog. He was happy and healthy when we returned and the house was just as we left it. We will definitely use Emma again when we travel.
Our two cats were well taken care of!
Emma was wonderful the week she checked in on our boys while we were away! She provided regular updates with lots of photos, and we could tell that our cats (while a little mad at us for being away) were very happy to have had her as a friend for the week. We will definitely work with Emma again in the future!

Emma is great with pets! I had her take out my dogs a couple times over one weekend and they loved her! She had sent me pictures and videos of my sweet fur babies… they miss you Emma! Come back again❤️

Schedule
Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. During the summer, I work very part time teaching art classes, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care. Outside of teaching, I mainly focus on caring for pets for my other dog walking and pet sitting clients. I’m also going into my senior year at Moravian University, and during the school year I schedule pet care around my classes. Since my class schedule is manageable, I’m able to consistently make time for walks, feedings, playtime, and giving pets attention throughout the day.

- Before caring for a pet, I like to know their normal routine, personality, energy level, and any medical needs so I can make them as comfortable as possible. It’s especially helpful to know feeding schedules, bathroom routines, favorite activities, any fears or anxieties, and how they typically interact with other people or animals. I also like to know if they take any medications, have allergies, or need any special care, since I do have experience administering medications and caring for special needs pets. Knowing what helps a pet feel safe and happy ahead of time allows me to give them the best care possible and helps owners feel more at ease while they’re away.
