I currently work freelance, from home, so I'm fully flexible around people's needs for themselves and their dogs. I love an early morning walk to get the day started, or an afternoon trip to break up the working day!

Safety, trust & environment
On first visit, I am more than comfortable to talk about your expectations from a dog-sitter. If you do not permit your dog to be on the sofa, I also will not allow it. If they are only allowed to eat from their food bowl, I will ensure that this happens whilst they're under my care. If you do not allow your dog off-leash on walks, I will abide by this also. Any rules that you have for your pets, I will strictly follow, as I know that training and repetition are key for well-behaved and happy dogs.
Information Emma J. would like to know about your pet
Although I am comfortable looking after larger pets, I am cautious of looking after two of them, especially if they are not well-trained, or if they are nervous/reactive around other dogs or people. I am still happy to have a meet and greet and discuss your dogs needs and habits, and see if it would be a good fit, but please be aware that if I do not think I could adequately look after your dog, for their benefit and mine, I will decline the request.
A typical day
I'm more than happy heading out on long countryside walks, spending hours outside with your dog, throwing a ball or doing scent work. I'm also happy spending time inside, working on mental enrichment, whether that be through training or specific toys.

Long hikes, or a cosy sofa day
Pet care experience
Further references available upon request! I have now been caring for dogs and cats for just over three yearss. In this time, I have been reliably available at any time to look after, care for, and walk these dogs. Ranging from young Labrador puppies, to older Dachshunds and all in-between, I am well-versed in looking after high-energy, but also calmer dogs. I am happy to spend hours outside, playing, walking and hiking, or spending a quiet day curled up on the sofa.
Reviews

Emma was excellent in every way. Prompt, brilliant with our two 'babies', communicative but not overly so, neat, tidy and everything you'd want. Highly recommended:)

Emma is reliable and always takes good care of our dog and cat! Thankful to have her as a sitter!

Emma did house sitting two times for us now and we are so happy we found her! She took great care of our dog and cat, as well as a few household items whilst we were away. We will definitely book her again!
