Safety, trust & environment
I will ensure that your pet is well taken care of each visit, including an overall body wellness check, which I am trained to perform from my professional pet care experience. I am also happy to administer any medication if needed, as I have lots of experience with this. I ensure that the pet is content physically and emotionally, so I do not limit my visits based on time; in other words, I understand that pets (moreso dogs than cats) may feel quite stressed when their owners are away, so I love to spend time with them to build a connection and love on them while I am there.
Information Emma G. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any special needs that your pet has, including medicinal needs, behaviors to be aware of, etc. This can also include if your pet has separation anxiety. This will help me to be more aware of the specific needs of your pet to ensure that they are properly cared for!
A typical day
When walking dogs, I believe that it is a time for both physical and mental enrichment. This is typically done by just letting them explore the area on our walks. Much of the activities I do with the dog are based upon my initial behavioral assessment of the dog upon meeting them; in other words, I will evaluate your dog's temperament and energy level to determine the best way for me to interact with them!

I love taking care of animals!
Pet care experience
I have almost two years of professional experience working in a dog daycare/boarding facility, where we managed groups of up to 20 dogs at a time. Additionally, I managed dogs who boarded with us for any amount of time. This experience also includes dogs with special dietary or medicinal needs. This job also trained me in animal behavior, as well as various dog-handling practices according to different breeds, behaviors, energy levels/temperaments, and environments. Furthermore, I have several clients that I worked closely with while I was at school in Brevard, NC. I would be happy to provide references from any of these experiences if requested!
Reviews
Emma Gooch cared for our cat for almost three years whenever we traveled, sometimes for time periods of about three weeks. She came twice a day, let Leo in and out, fed and watered him, and cleaned his box. She was always responsible, and took time to play with him a bit as she came and went. My husband and I valued her as a college student and friend, and several times she brought her roommates for a meal. We met her boyfriend, and her family included us in the luncheon celebration of her graduation, at which she received honors. We miss her, and are doubtful that we will ever have such a well-rounded cat sitter and young friend again.
Emma is amazing!! She took care of my 100 lbs leash pulling, goofball with ease!! She always brought him back tired and full!! she’s amazing! I left him with Emma for two weeks and got plenty of updates and not even for a second was I worried about him. She is so kind and caring with the dogs!
