I usually am the one who takes my family dog for a walk every day since I'm the only one in my family who has the most amount of free time on their hands.

If I ever dog sat for a friend's pet in my home, I usually don't really change my routine but add the necessary care requirements for both dogs. When I'm staying over at a friend's or family member's house while watching their pet, I still do a similar routine when I'm at home, but I stay on high alert and make sure I don't leave snacks or anything I bring anywhere the dog can reach.

Nothing probably sets me apart from other sitters. I always carry a mini journal and pen around with me to jot down notes or things I need to remember, especially if there are specific instructions, like dietary or playtime needs for pets.
