Dog Lover and Therapy Dog Trainer
Hi! My name is Emma D., and I work as a Risk Control Representative for a financial institution. My job offers me flexibility and allows me to work from home on occasion. I travel for work as well, so I may not always be available on weekdays. Previously, there was a program at my university that allowed me to train dogs to become therapy animals. I've participated in this program and have performed research on how an individual's subjective well-being is influenced by working with animals. I love dogs and have dog-sat for people in the past, and I especially love rescues! My favorite breed of dog is golden retriever, but I love any and all dogs. I'd love to walk and play with your dog and if you have any questions about anything feel free to reach out to me! *Please note that I do not accept booking requests that don’t show a profile for your dogs - I need to know what type of care is best for them to make sure my services are a good fit.*

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment on the 3rd floor with a breezeway in between, so unfortunately I can’t board dogs who can’t go up or down stairs. The area is unfenced so a leash for potty breaks or walks is required. I have a crate as well if needed, though it won’t be used unless you specifically ask me to use it for your dog. I have tons of toys, dog puzzles, and treats to share with any puppy playmates that may come into my home. I have pee pads as well for the little ones - no worries if they have an accident.
Ratings and reviews
Emma was amazing with our fur kids. Kept us updated and sent photos. Stayed with them overnight so it didn't disrupt their routine. Came home to a clean house and happy dogs. 🥰

Emma was a wonderful sitter would recommend.

Emma is hands down the best dog sitter we have ever used. We have a lab with cancer who requires pills 3x a day as well as a 16 year old Shih Tzu with advanced arthritis and seizures who also requires pills and drops throughout the day. Additionally, he is a very picky eater and is known to go on “hunger strikes” when we leave him to travel. Emma never missed a dose for either dog despite all of this and she got the older dog to eat twice a day every day. He usually loses weight when we are gone, but with Emma, he actually put on a pound! We came home to a spotless house and two healthy and very happy dogs. They actually walked around the house looking for Emma for a couple days after we got home. Emma was so good we actually moved our next trip to a week she is available. Do yourself a favor, stop looking for a dog sitter and book Emma!

Emma was a wonderful walker and sitter for our 2 Boston Terriers. She is responsive, punctual and great with the dogs. We will be using her services again.
We couldn’t have been more pleased with Emma! She was wonderful. Bentley got lots of love and attention! You could see how happy he was through the daily pictures she sent us! We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation, knowing he was being so well taken care of. We will for sure call on Emma again!

Emma did a great job with our pups. They loved her and I will look forward to booking her in the future.

Schedule
I have a Shih Tzu myself, so taking care of dogs comes naturally to me. We start the day out with some cuddles, playtime, and a potty break. After that, potty breaks are given as needed. I generally eat lunch around noon and then take my dog for a walk, and I’d be happy to treat your dog to a walk as well. I have a ton of toys, training treats, and puzzle games for other dogs to enjoy while they’re here. I will give them both mental and physical stimulation to ensure they have a good time while you’re away.
