Pet care experience
Animals have always been a part of my life! I grew up with a variety of cats and dogs, including black tabbies, a malamute, a westie, and a great pyrenees doodle. From my early years, I actively participated in feeding and walking our dogs, and as they aged I made sure they were comfortable and happy, even providing special treats (a pup cup or two!). Currently, I frequently visit my family's cats and dog, and I take pride in having trained our dog since she was a puppy (reinforcing her training during my visits even if she “pretends” to forget commands).

I can't say enough good things about Emma who has cared for my chihuahua twice now! From the moment we met, it was clear her gift with animals. She took the time to get to know my pet, make sure she had water and food everyday, and Itachi (my little pup) warmed up almost immediately and was showered with love and attention. Emma sent daily updates with adorable photos, making it easy to relax and enjoy my time away. When I returned, my chihuahua was happy, healthy, and clearly well-cared for. If you're looking for a reliable, caring, and downright amazing dogsitter, look for Emma—she is simply the best!
Emma was able to deal with all my cats' quirks with no problem, even when one cat threw up his meal and she had to feed him again. Would definitely book again!
Emma is a pleasure to work with. My pups love her and she is an excellent communicator. Such a great experience. I would highly recommend.
Our dog can be a challenge, but Emma is always up to that challenge. She is always on time and does a great job.

The more knowledge about your pet, the better! Knowing information like allergies and/or medication requirements (including administration procedures and warning signs to look out for), vaccination history, unique behavioral tendencies (and appropriate responses to them), which commands they know, their overall temperament, and their comfort level with humans, other dogs, and various animals can tailor the care I provide! This information, while comprehensive, is essential for fostering positive interactions (for both your furry friend and me).
A typical day
When watching dogs, I love playing fetch, going on hikes to explore new trails (splashing in water if available?), and learning new tricks to stimulate their minds. I also frequent various town parks with dog-friendly areas to play disc golf, so I’m somewhat familiar with many of the parks in and around Rochester. And if some dogs would rather a more relaxed pace, I'm more than happy to spend time lazing out in the sun!

As I’m finishing up my last year in college, my schedule only allows for any house sitting to be on weekends. However, on certain weekdays I'm enthusiastic about taking study breaks to spend time hanging out and walking your pet!
