Highlights
Pet care experience
experienced animal caregiver
I have extensive hands on experience with animals of all shapes and sizes, from household pets to livestock. My background includes livestock handling and care, as well as working with dogs trained for herding and other working roles. I have a strong understanding of both canine and feline behavior, training, body language, and handling, which allows me to recognize what an animal is communicating and adjust my approach to their individual personality and needs. My experience goes well beyond dogs and cats. I have a particular affinity for exotic pets, including reptiles and amphibians, and I’m comfortable caring for animals that require more specialized husbandry and handling. I’m currently a chiropractic student pursuing a career working with both people and animals, which has given me an even deeper understanding of anatomy, physiology, movement, and overall animal health. Combined with my lifelong experience around animals and livestock, I bring much more than basic pet-sitting experience. I understand animal behavior, respect their boundaries, and genuinely enjoy figuring out what makes each individual animal tick. Whether your pet is a couch loving cat, high energy dog, working animal, reptile, amphibian, or something a little less conventional, I’m confident providing knowledgeable, attentive, and individualized care.

Schedule
My schedule is very flexible and allows me to make pet care a priority throughout the week. I’m only in class on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and even on those days I live close by and can easily check in between classes. The longest a pet in my care would typically go without seeing me is about four hours. The rest of the week, I have plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, feeding schedules, playtime, or just keeping your pet company. I’m also happy to work around each animal’s normal routine as much as possible. I’d rather adjust my day to them than expect them to adjust theirs to me.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or theirs, my biggest priority is keeping them comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, medications, training, sleeping arrangements, and household rules. I live alone and do not have any dogs or cats of my own, just aquariums, so pets staying with me don’t have to navigate unfamiliar resident animals or a busy household. This also allows me to give them plenty of individual attention and makes my home a great option for pets that prefer a quieter environment or don’t typically do well around other animals. I’m very attentive to behavior and body language and adjust my approach to each individual animal. I’m comfortable with high-energy pets that need exercise, play, training, and enrichment, as well as shy, anxious, independent, or older animals that need patience and space to decompress. In a client’s home, I’m extremely respectful of both their space and their pet’s established routine. I’m also happy to continue any training or behavioral routines already in place so there is consistency while you’re away. Ultimately, I want your pet’s day to feel as normal as possible. The only real difference should be that I’m the one taking care of them.
A typical day
There really isn’t a “typical day” because I tailor each day to the individual animal’s personality, energy level, routine, and needs. For dogs, that might include walks, playtime, training games, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing together depending on their age and temperament. For cats, I incorporate interactive play, toys, enrichment, and plenty of attention or space, if that’s what they prefer! I also enjoy finding activities that provide mental stimulation, not just physical exercise. Whether your pet is high energy and needs to stay busy or would rather spend the day lounging nearby, I’m happy to meet them where they are and keep their routine as comfortable and familiar as possible.
