I've been around all creatures great and small for longer than I can remember, and have loved animals than I can remember still. My experience as a pet owner is with smaller mammals - I am the proud parent of two rats - while other pets I have experienced through relatives and family friends. I spent long summer days as a teenager cat-sitting for my grandma - I don't think Tuppence (the cat) ever quite warmed up to me, but she enjoyed using me as a place to sunbathe and very much liked when I would attempt to bribe her affection with treats. I have been around dogs my entire life and, more recently, have enjoyed work as a dog walker for a family friend and their animal-care business. This is where I have gained my professional experience in animal care, having completed a Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Diploma as part of this placement. Overall, I have experience with every variety of pet, including rescues and especially seniors.
