Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve owned a variety of breeds over the years, from German Shepherds to Poodles, and I currently have two much-loved Shih Tzu/Poodle crosses who bring me so much joy. I’ve always been the person that family and friends turn to when they need someone they can trust with their dogs. I genuinely love having dogs around and caring for them, so I’ve decided to turn something I already love doing into a small home based business. Your dog won’t simply be looked after here they’ll become part of the family while they’re with us. My dogs are very much part of our home, and any dogs staying with me will be treated in exactly the same way. They’ll be welcome indoors, given plenty of attention, cuddles and company, and allowed to settle into their own routine as much as possible. We have two good sized garden areas where dogs can enjoy some fresh air and playtime, as well as a comfortable family home where they can relax and feel safe. I understand that leaving your dog with someone else can feel daunting, so my priority is making sure both you and your dog feel comfortable and confident. I’ll take the time to get to know your dog, their personality, habits and individual needs, so that their stay is as happy and stress free as possible. 🐶❤️

I’ve left Douglas with Emma several times and he settled in quickly. He really enjoys having a lovely garden to play in and loves being part of the family. Emma keeps me updated while I'm away, which gives me peace of mind. I know Douglas is safe, happy and getting lots of love when he stays with Emma.

Schedule
I’m currently home during the day, so your dog will have plenty of company and won’t be left alone for long periods. My three boys are now old enough to get themselves to and from school, which gives me the flexibility to make dog care a big part of my daily routine. I’m up and available from around 7am, with breakfast and morning cuddles followed by our main walk usually between 8–10am. We have lovely local walks just a 5 minute walk from our home, and I also have a van so I can take the dogs out to other local walking spots if appropriate. After our morning walk, there’s plenty of time for play in the garden, followed by relaxing at home on the sofa. I’m around throughout the day for company, fuss and plenty of attention, with mealtimes tailored to each dog’s normal routine and individual needs. My two dogs are used to having a relaxed home environment, and visiting dogs will be welcomed into the same routine. I want them to feel comfortable and settled. My days are flexible, so I can adapt the routine to suit the dogs in my care, whether they are energetic and love lots of walks and playtime, or are happier having a gentle stroll followed by a cosy afternoon on the sofa. 🐾

Safety, trust & environment
I want every dog in my care to feel safe, secure and at home. I have two friendly, Shih Tzu/Poodle crosses of my own, who are used to having other dogs around and love making new friends. We have two secure, fully fenced garden areas which can either be opened up to create one larger space or kept separate. This means I can adapt the environment depending on the dogs in my care, some dogs love having company and space to play together, while others may prefer their own quieter area to relax. Dogs are welcome throughout my home and will have plenty of supervision, attention and affection. I don’t use crates, as I prefer dogs to feel relaxed and comfortable in a normal home environment. However, if a dog needs some quiet time or prefers to have their own space, I can provide a comfortable, separate area where they can retreat and relax undisturbed. I’ll always take the time to understand each dog’s personality, routine and individual needs, and I’ll never assume that every dog enjoys the same things. My aim is to provide a safe, calm and loving home where your dog can settle in, feel comfortable and enjoy themselves while you’re away. 🐾
