Pet care experience
We're not the cheapest...
You’re thinking about taking a holiday, but you’ve never left your dog before. Before getting them as a puppy, or adopting a rescue, travel was normal for you. Work trips, holidays, the freedom to book something and go. Since getting your dog, everything has changed. He’s part of your family now, and the idea of going away without him feels like a big deal. You want the break, but you’re already worrying about what it would mean to actually leave. Perhaps you've never done this before, or you've been burned by other sitters in the past. The longest he’s ever stayed anywhere without you is a couple of nights with family. Leaving him for a proper holiday is another level. The guilt hits straight away. Handing over the keys to your home and putting the life of your dog into the hands of a stranger online , when you say that out loud, seems absurd. Living where we do, in a stunning location that attracts hoardes of tourists, the last thing you want to do is post in a facebook group that you're looking for a sitter only to be inundated with messages from people looking for a free holiday, you want to know they are interested in your pets and not just your postcode. You don’t want a one-off sitter. You want someone who will come back again, someone you can get to know and trust long term. Your dog’s safety and happiness come first, and you don’t want to gamble with that. Perhaps you haven’t booked any holidays yet because you don’t want to plan anything until you’ve found the right person. The thought of choosing wrong makes your stomach churn. You want a break, but you’re afraid of what might happen while you’re gone. Over time, each sit, the ones we take, and the enquiries we don’t, teach us something new, we’ve continually revised our processes, policies and procedures, over the past four years, and built Beyond Housesitting into a business, not a holiday, based on professionalism and peace of mind, not perks, and certainly not the cheapest price. Because for pet owners like you, and like our clients , it’s never just about finding a sitter, it’s about finding the perfect match. If you think you might have found yours, here's what's next. Send us a message, we will give you a call, from there, you will be asked to complete a detailed form about your pets. It is important you take your time to complete this. Once we have that, we will let you know whether your sit is one we feel comfortable accepting and confirm a quote.

We take safety and trust incredibly seriously—it’s the foundation of everything we do. Ratings and reviews
Emma and Luke looked after our two elderly labradors for the day. Great communication prior and during the visits, and we reassured they were being well cared for.

Emma and Luke provided excellent care for our old dog Brandy whilst we were away for 10 days. They provided regular photo's and updates of Brandy's well being and he was a very healthy happy dog on our return. Overall a much kinder and better option then putting him into Kennels, thanks to Emma and Luke's care.
Emma is an amazing pet sitter. She really understands and respects our needs and property, and makes sure our furry family is well looked after while we’re away. We were happy to leave our 9 week old puppy and 8 year old Labrador with her recently and trust her knowledge and judgment to ensure a trouble free and no worry escape for us! Emma is very calm and collected which makes for a nice relaxed atmosphere right from the start. I would recommend her 100%. She has sat for us many times and we’ve always returned to happy dogs and a tidy home.
Emma and Luke have looked after our house and dog on a number of occasions. From the outset, they took great care to get to know both us and our dog’s daily routine to ensure the best care possible. Their paperwork and admin gave us reassurance, that they were and continue to be , committed to being as professional as they can be. They also update their information for each sitting to ensure that no detail is missed. Our dog , who can be a bit wary of new people was a little nervous to start with but she soon got to know them and Luke and Emma are now greeted like ‘one of the family’. On every occasion the house was left spotless for our return and our dog was happy and relaxed. We would have no hesitation in recommending Luke and Emma to look after your house and pets.
Luke was lovely with Alfie, very calm and I think they had a nice evening together, Thankyou
Emma & Luke were outstanding House / Pet sitters, we cannot recommend them more highly- our holiday was so relaxed due to the efficient & appreciated communication when we asked them about our pets sporadically. Our home was so respected & the log piles left for us incredible (just an example of their thoughtfulness). We asked them to stay the night before we departed & to join us early afternoon so they walked the dogs with us, observed feeding time, then they joined us for supper so we could ensure all was clear & easy for them. They are such a lovely couple & amazing with animals- they work remotely- so we knew they could enjoy a great environment as well as helping us out. We had never meet them & in their communication prior we felt confident & they 100% delivered. Highly recommend

Schedule
My husband works full time for a national dog rehoming charity, and is currently working towards an ABTC acrredited animal behaviour qualification. he can be away overnight a couple of times a week transporting dogs between Northern Ireland and England. I'm a former police officer, who left to focus on a career in health and wellbeing, I am currently self employed , teaching Pilates and nervous system education both in person and online. Pet sitting is not our full time career, that means we choose thoughtfully which bookings we accept. I will always be in your home overnight and mostly throughout the day except when I am teaching in person. If your care needs requires me to be present at your home full time, this can be arranged and will be charged as constant care. Luke may also be present overnight, depending on his work schedule each week.
Prices include all fees.
