Pet care is a part of my daily routine. I have my own dogs, so I am used to structuring my day around walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and making sure they are happy. Because of this, I am able to assist with whatever your dog may need. I'm consistent with timing, attentive to each dog's needs, and am able to care for them throughout the day. Caring for dogs is already something in my day-to-day routine and from my experience not all dogs are the same and that is ok! If one of my dogs needs extra playtime or exercise I am happy to give it to them!

Before caring for your pet, I like to learn as much as possible so I can give them a positive and safe experience. It is especially helpful if I know of any special needs, medical conditions, or specific routines. If you dog is reactive, I prefer to do a meet-and-greet while you're home so we can start off on the right foot. This helps me build their trust in a calm, controlled environment. Please let me know about any triggers (other dogs, strangers, etc.) as well as how you would like me to respond if you have specific training for those situations. I also love knowing feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, or anything else that ensures your dog or cat is comfortable.
A typical day
I love making sure your pet feels happy, safe, and mentally stimulated. We'll spend time playing their favorite games like fetch (my dogs favorite), tug-of-war, or chasing toys. I also love going on walks with my dogs to make sure they get out that extra energy! For relaxed pets, I am happy to brush their coat, give them cuddle time, or do puzzles. I always match my activities to what I feel they need whether they are more high-energy or laid back.

I've been around dogs my entire life and understand how important it is to have someone you trust taking care of your dog or cat. From growing up with dogs to working at a pet boarding facility for a year, I have tons of hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes and personalties. In addition to my boarding experience, I also spent time pet sitting for neighbors, fostering dogs, and volunteering with Animal Defense League, which has given me more exposure to different needs and care routines. During my time at the boarding facility, I handled feeding schedules, administering medicine, supervising playtime, and ensuring all dogs felt safe in their new environment. I am familiar with reading dog behavior and being with dogs that have high anxiety or high energy, always giving them patience and understanding. Whether your dog needs a long walk, playtime, or some extra love while you're away, I treat every dog like my own. My goal is to make every dog feel loved and cared for while you can be away knowing your dog is in good hands!
