Pet care experience
Let us borrow your furry friend!
I was raised on a hobby farm and always had cats, dogs, cows, goats and rabbits underfoot while growing up. My husband and I then adopted the sweetest Bichon Frise mix together, who sadly passed away way too young from kidney failure in 2022. We spent a joy-less year as a dog-free family, and then in May 2023 we started petsitting to fill the void. With three kiddos 7 and under my husband and I aren't ready to commit to adopting a pet of our own, but that just means we all have extra love and affection to shower on YOUR pup while you enjoy your vacation!

As always, she provides amazing updates

My dogs loved their time and I loved the daily updates! Will be our go to for all future needs!

Emma is the best!! I know my dog Penny is well taken care of in her home, and Emma sends me lots of photos and updates while I’m away.

Emma and her family LOVED our little pup. He had a great time as I could tell from the photos!! We'll definitely be requesting her services again ❤️

Emma is awesome! Lilbits received great care, met new friends, canid, and little humans. Her day was filled with activities and enrichment in Emma's loving home. I received much needed reassurance in the form of posts and photos as this was the first time we had vacationed since her gotcha day. I would recommend her services to anyone. Thank you, Emma and family, for making his such a good experience.

This is our second time booking with Emma and her family. They are wonderful with our dogs, we feel at peace and know our dogs are safe and loved. Thank you Emma!

Schedule
My kids LOVE having dogs stay with us and we keep them involved in our daily activities. I am a stay-at-home mom, so home much of the day during the week. Your dog will get plenty of enrichment during their stay with us and will go home happy and tired!
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your dog will be a part of your family while they are here, which includes plenty of couch snuggles, belly rubs, and frozen peanut butter kongs and lick mats for downtime enrichment. I will send plenty of pictures and updates throughout their stay, and am also able to give medications and/or a specialized diet as needed. Last, but certainly not least, I worked at a doggy daycare/boarding/training center for a number of years, and then did customer service for a local dog food company for 5 years after that. All things dogs and dog training is what brings me joy. I throw in training sessions throughout the day and on walks regardless, but if there is anything specific you'd like me to work on while your pup is with us please let me know!
A typical day
A typical day starts around 6 with a long walk before the kids wake up. We live right off the bike trail, so there is tons for your dog to sniff and explore while we walk. We have a fenced-in backyard for plenty of short play sessions and potty breaks throughout the day. I toss in short training sessions throughout the day to keep your dog on their toes, and keep them occupied with frozen peanut butter kongs or lick mats for downtime enrichment. In the afternoons we walk to the park if it's nice out, or play down in our basement which has lots of space for your dog to explore. The day will end with a last good walk around the neighborhood after the kids are in bed.
