Since I cannot host for boarding while I am in the process of finding my own place, please reach out about a discount for house sitting! I just moved to LA after being in the DC/VA market for over 2 years! I’m currently in WeHo and do not have a car. I currently work 3 days a week in the office downtown. I grew up with both dogs and cats (and a hamster!) and LOVE hanging out with furry friends. Since pets have always been a part of my life, I am extremely comfortable with playing and taking care of them. I’ve had a soft spot for senior pups ever since family dog, Webster, who lived to be a happy and healthy 13-year old English yellow Labrador. He recently passed, but his loving personality made me fall in love with all senior dogs. I have been on Rover since 2023 and have been cat/dog sitting for years before that with friends’ pets. On Rover, I’ve worked with a range of breeds from Pomeranians to Greyhounds and all the rescue mixes in between! I I also walked a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix puppy every Tuesday-Thursday and helped train leash skills and, of course, tricks! I helped my mother raise a service dog through the NEADS program in Massachusetts whenever I was home (usually 2 weeks at a time) where I helped the puppy on walks and practicing commands. My experience on Rover is mostly boarding, house sitting, and walking dogs, but I love to help out with day care requests as well. I’ve welcomed dogs of all ages from puppy to senior dogs and love all their personalities. I also LOVE to take photos, so you can expect a photo shoot of your pup when they visit!

I am currently subletting before I find my own place, so I am only doing drop ins, walks, and house sitting in the meantime. I maintain a clean home and make sure to puppy/cat proof if needed. If I’m hosting, I have previously used a camera to check in on your pup/kitty if I have to step out. I tend to have the opposite of a green thumb, so I do not keep any plants that may be toxic to pets (I promise to keep yours alive if you have them though!). I defer to you on whether your dog is allowed on furniture. My building has a a “banned breeds” list, but I am more than happy to come to your place to watch a stigmatized breed if your pup would be okay with that - I absolutely have another soft spot for the “scary” pups.

We are so sad that Emma is moving away! She has provided the very best care for our Archie over the past several months- nearly a year! Including weekly walks and a couple of home stays while we’ve been on vacation. She has become a trusted ~family friend~ and any pup would be lucky to have her as their sitter. She is trustworthy, thorough, has good judgment, and is just a great person overall!

Schedule
I am currently working in a hybrid schedule where I go into the office downtown 3 days a week. I usually will go in Tuesday-Thursday but have some flexibility if needed.
