I have recently “retired” as a cat cafe worker after over 2 years working at a DC-based cat cafe and rescue agency, where cats rescued from euthanasia from all around the DMV come to find their forever homes! I have personally cared for, medicated, and loved up to 30 cats at one time, in addition to telling their stories and learning their personalities in order to help get them adopted. I am also a lifelong cat owner and have been a catsitter since the age of 13. I am currently a graduate student working towards my masters of social work, but deeply miss being surrounded by cats every day (my roommate has a sweet young pitbull named Willa, which doesn’t leave much room for other animals in the home). I can’t wait to meet some new furry friends! :)🐈⬛🦮

I have a lifetime of experience loving cats, as well as over 2 years of experience relating to cat healthcare and medication. I am able to get to know cats quickly and can read their signals quite well. Given that I was in charge of medication and conducting daily health checks on rescue cats for the past 2 years (some of which were feral at first), I feel more than prepared to handle any health concerns that may occur quickly and knowledgeably.

Emma was a wonderful sitter! Our cat Kenobi is a little bit anxious, and this was our first time using Rover rather than friends or family to look after him, which was nerve wracking, but Emma made us feel so at ease, and we were able to enjoy our week long trip no problem. Her daily updates included photos that made our day each time, and we could tell that Kenobi was so comfortable and cared for by her. We came home to a happy cat, which is everything we could have asked for.
Emma is amazing!! I have booked them multiple times now and it’s so relieving knowing I can rely on someone when I’m away to take care of my cat, Oakley. My cat gets very anxious when I leave, so she tends to leave a mess in protest, so I appreciate having someone who is familiar with that and is able to clean up after her :)
Emma is the first rover we’ve ever had stay in our home with our pets for this long and she made the experience so wonderful for us and our pets! Our pets were safe, cared for and ADORED by her all week long which kept us at ease while away. Reliable, communicative and so loving!!!

Four cats and they all look healthy and happy. Emma made a point to bond with all of them. She was punctual and did everything asked of her…even getting medication dispensed. We were nervous to leave, but from the first day we were able to enjoy our vacation with Emma in charge of our cats.
Emma was so helpful to me and my family during a long vacation. She sent great photos and checked in with any concerns. It was great peace of mind to have her! Will definitely book again.

Schedule
I am currently a grad student, commuting to Maryland during the day on Mondays & Fridays, and commuting within DC on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays. I am available every weeknight, as well as many mornings! I also have wide open weekend availability.
