I Like Pets More Than People
I’ve had my dog, Wicket — an 8 lb Yorkie/Maltese rescue — for 8 years, and before that, I regularly cared for friends’ and acquaintances’ dogs. Over time, I’ve gotten experience with all kinds of personalities: easygoing companions, high-energy pups, and reactive dogs who need extra patience and understanding. I truly enjoy being around dogs — probably more than people. I take the time to figure out what makes each one comfortable and happy, whether that’s a long walk, a game of fetch, or simply sharing the couch. I’m comfortable with leash handling, sticking to routines, and giving medication if needed. You’ll get regular updates and photos so you know your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for until you’re home.

Schedule
I’m home most of the time, so I can give pets plenty of attention and keep to their usual routines. Walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins can happen whenever they’re needed, and I can be flexible with timing.

When I’m caring for pets in your home, I keep things just the way they’re used to - same feeding times, same walking routes, and the same comfy spots they love. I’m mindful about keeping doors and gates secure, following your routines closely, and making sure they’re settled and comfortable before I leave. My goal is for your pet to feel safe and cared for in their own space.

A typical day depends on the pet’s personality and routine. For dogs, that might mean walks to stretch their legs, playtime, and some quiet downtime together. For cats, it could be interactive play or simply sitting nearby so they don’t feel alone. I like to keep their day as close to normal as possible, with a balance of activity, company, and rest.
