I have 18 years of hands-on dog care experience, beginning with my family’s first dog, who I cared for throughout her life until she passed. I now share my home with two rescue dogs and have also fostered a shelter-rescued dog for 3 months who got adopted last year. Beyond my own pets, I have cared for neighbors’ and friends’ dogs and previously worked part-time for a pet services company as a professional pet sitter and dog walker. I am comfortable caring for puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs. I understand that every dog has a different personality, comfort level, and communication style. My approach is never one-size-fits-all: I take time to get to know each pet, respect their signals and boundaries, and build trust at their pace. I also prioritize clear, reliable communication so owners feel informed and reassured while they are away.

I believe trust starts before the booking. I like to meet pets first, learn their routine, and understand what helps them feel comfortable, whether that means giving them space, using treats, playing, taking a slow walk, or simply sitting nearby until they are ready. I pay close attention to body language and never force interaction. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walk routines, house rules, comfort items, and any behavior notes. I also keep owners updated with messages, photos, and honest communication so they always know how their pet is doing.

Emily did an amazing job with my dog! This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit worried to see how my dog will do but Emily was super communicative and made sure I was in the loop throughout the entire process. My dog has trouble trusting strangers but he warmed up to Emily so quickly. Would definitely ask Emily again to take care of my dog!
Emily is an absolute gem! She took care of Tako over the weekend for two walk sessions, and I couldn't be happier. The walk cards and updates were incredibly detailed—Emily paid close attention to all of Tako's unique quirks, like her fear of loud noises, her habit of rubbing against posts, and safely stopping her from chewing on grass roots. It’s so clear how responsible, patient, and observant they are. Tako came back super happy! I felt completely at ease knowing Tako was in such caring hands. Highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a thoughtful and dependable walker!
Emily was very kind and responsive and she took great care of my dog! I really appreciated that she drove my dog to Marymoor and let her swim on an especially hot day. I would highly recommend Emily.
Emily was absolutely fantastic with my big German shepherd. He is reactive to small furry animals and she handled it like a pro by distracting him with treats. Nothing gives me more peace while away than to know my pet is in good hands. She was on time and reliable everyday for my dogs walks for the week I booked her. My dog was very excited when she was there to pick him up for his walk and from that alone I can tell how well she treated my baby.

Schedule
I am self-employed and work from home full-time, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I can structure my day around your dog’s usual feeding, potty, walking, play, and rest routine, and I do not leave pets alone for extended periods. I am especially well suited for dogs who benefit from companionship, consistent routines, extra potty breaks, or a calmer home presence during the day.

- Before caring for your dog, I would love to know their usual routine, personality, favorite treats or toys, energy level, triggers or fears, walking preferences, and any special care needs. It is also helpful to know how they respond to strangers, other dogs, sounds, handling, being left alone, or new environments. The more I understand about your pet beforehand, the better I can make their care feel familiar, safe, and enjoyable.
