I started dog sitting in 2008 and have been watching pets ever since. I have a huge love for cats. It is not often that I get to cat sit but when I do it is complete joy. I have also cared for many pups. Once I cared for a dog for one year while her owner was deployed with the military, I have watched dogs for days and weeks at a time while the owners are on vacations. I care greatly for my pet, an 11 year old cat, she has never missed any opportunity to live her best life and she has always acclimated well to our pet sitting set ups. We also have a toddler that is very helpful and understanding of each pet and their needs. She has been in the pet sitting game since day one so she knows how to give space and quiet or running and pets depending on a pets demeanor.

Wow! We lucked out choosing Emily as a sitter! She was fantastic. We needed a sitter at the last minute and Emily responded right away. We enjoyed meeting her and her sweet family. Our pup walked right in the door without a look back, like she was home. It was a blessing to be able to leave feeling like our pup was going to be fine. Emily sent messages and pics to reassure us that our old girl was settling in that evening and doing well the next morning. If we come back to this area again I would definitely ask for Emily. Emily was amazing. In the midst of chaos for our cat, Emily provided a calm healing environment. She was in constant contact with is and provided regular updates, photos and videos. I am so grateful for her kindness.
Emily was great with Kit Kat, she stayed at her home for 3 weeks. I would highly recommend Emily as she was thoughtful, considerate and administered oral medication to Kit Kat as well. I especially loved the photos and updates. Very communicative and responsive - great job!!

Schedule
I currently work 1-3 days a week in my career position as an occupational therapist assistant and my husband works from home. This leave the two of us close to the house for regular care of your cats and dogs.

I have a large unfenced yard and live right next to a dog park. We will work closely with your pets needs and routines for functional transition in and out of our care. It is typical for a dog to feel right at home 1-2 days after arriving. That's when they start to play with their toys the most. The pets will have access to the kitchen, dining, and living room areas of our home.

A typical day
I enjoy listening to a dogs needs for walks, runs, and just playing with a toy or two. We live near a park and will spend a lot of time outside. We ask that your dog comes with a harness. There is not a better option for keeping your dog safely on the leash during our outings together.
