I generally work remote. I have an in home office where my girls have comfy beds and consider themselves my assistants! They’re great at sleeping on the job. I live on the edge of our farm. My back yard is large and fenced in. My back door stays cracked so they come and go as they please during the day. There is a 6 inch tall kiddie pool out back that stays full of clean water for drinking. We do have occasional Labrador visitors who enjoy getting in the water! If I am not remote, it is planned and I’m generally gone for 8 hours. By their preference, JoJo stays inside and Fancy stays outside. My retired mother in law lives across the street and comes over twice and for about an hour each time for playtime on the days I’m working in office. My girls LOVE their grandma and she treats all of our guests as they are also her granddogs 💜I do occasionally travel for a few days at a time for work, but my travel is generally flexible and planned. My husband, Austin, also has a huge hand in caring for our dogs and guest dogs. He and I try to coordinate our schedules to where someone is with any of our furry visitors during their time in our home.

Fancy & JoJo free eat so their food is always full. They are very adaptable if we have to change things up for our visitor’s feeding schedule. We have a 3 gallon filtered water bowl so there’s always plenty to drink. If we need to regulate water intake for our visitors, we are able to do so. In the afternoons and on the weekends we enjoy riding around our farm in our side by side. The girls absolutely love it! They have buckets FULL of toys in the living room and we play a lot. In the evenings, we all snuggle up on the couch before bed. They both sleep in the bed with us and we have had occasional visiting pups that enjoy sleeping with all of us in our bed as well! We do have 2 spare kennels (XL & small) if your dog needs or prefers one. We don’t kennel our dogs because they are so well behaved and they aren’t left unattended for long periods of time. We do have security cameras around our home.

Your pup’s safety is my top priority during their stay. Please let me know the following things so I can ensure accommodations are prepared. If your dogs have any special concerns/needs such as: Scared of Thunderstorms/Weather Food/Treat Allergies Anxious around Men Barks when someone wears a hat Needs a diaper when inside Not good with visitors Fancy is terrified of bad weather so our vet prescribed her Trazodone for anxiety as needed. She also has a thunder jacket. If staying overnight or longer than 8 hours, please ensure you bring: Prescribed Medications (and instructions on how you administer the meds) Food Kennel (if your pup uses one) Favorite Bed/Blankets (having something familiar always helps them adapt) Preferred food/water bowls (if your pup is particular-we do have plenty to share) Preferred Treats (if you want your pup eating something other than our treats) If you have any guidelines for your pup such as: Not allowed on Furniture No food/water after a certain time No jumping Certain commands Communication from you about you and your pet’s needs beforehand is the best way I can provide excellent care for your pet. I want to ensure their routine is followed, they are safe, and your peace during their time with us!
A typical day
My girls and I love to play in the back yard. I am very interactive with them. Fancy gets the “zoomies” often and it’s fun to watch! We go on side by side rides around our farm daily and your dogs are more than welcomed to join if you allow! As a precaution, if they are bigger, I will put them on a leash and buckle them in with a harness seatbelt to ensure their safety. Jojo has a special doggie car seat and a harness seatbelt because she is fearless if she sees something she wants to chase! We LOVE to cuddle on the couch throughout the day which occasionally ends up as playtime in the living room floor! We have plenty of toys to share! We have plenty of interactive cognitive toys as well. The girls love to sniff out and uncover their special treats! Fancy and mostly Jojo also love their beauty sleep, so we ensure there’s plenty of naptime throughout the day.

I am a certified pet spoiler! 💜 I genuinely care about all animals because they are just like family. I have 2 spayed dogs that live in my home (and sleep in my bed)! Fancy is a euthanasia bound rescue and I’ve had her since she was 2 months old. She is my heart dog, for sure. She is the sweetest, friendliest, and most precious girl! JoJo is a rescue dachshund and was around 4 yers old when she came in & completed our family. JoJo is a cuddler and absolutely adores Fancy. JoJo has been with us since Jan 2024 and we couldn’t imagine life without her! My girls always welcome new friends with open arms and we love sleepovers!! We have a max of 3 overnight visitors and 3 day care visitors at a time (with possible exceptions for those pups we know), so it is possible that other pups will be joining us while your pup is here. I do adjust my availability based on the dogs we have committed to care for to ensure your pup’s safety as well as that they get the attention they deserve during their stay!

I can't even put into words how wonderful Emily and her husband were to my 100 lbs German shepherd! I get very anxious leaving my boy behind when we go somewhere. We left him with her for 5 nights and I have never felt more comfortable and at ease!! Usually my GSD gets depressed from his separation anxiety and doesn't eat for days when we leave him, he ate all his food (and more 😆) without hesitation, that shows how comfortable he was. In fact, I think my dog forgot about us while we were gone 🤣 She was VERY communicative and loving to my sweet Outlaw. She also does doggy daycare, so he will be back to play some more!! I can't thank her enough for taking care of my gentle giant ❤️ also honorable mention, Jojo & Fancy were the cutest, well-behaved dogs too. Can't wait to bring him back to play.
