I will take good care of your pet and be respectful of your space while you're away. I know from my own pet how reassuring it is to get a few photos, and I'm always happy to send them along :)
Information Emily V. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has any special behaviors I should be keeping an eye out for. I'd also love to know how they best like to be petted so we can get off on the right paw :)
A typical day
On our visits I'll take the lead from your pet. I typically like to take a few minutes for us to get accustomed to each other with a few pets or games before diving into a walk or heading to the food dish.

Pet care experience
I'm a Cat parent to a senior Tortie, and grew up with an Australian Shepheard, Springer Spaniel, and a Mutt. I've been caring for neighborhood cats, dogs, snakes, rabbits, chinchillas, geckos, and the occasional bird for more than 20 years. I've taken 2 dogs through obedience training, and I'm happy to follow your lead to facilitate any training goals. (It makes my day too when they get it right!) I have experience giving medication in liquid and pill form to cats and dogs - and mask-style inhalers to cats. I'd also be comfortable administering other medication with some guidance. Very comfortable with larger energetic dogs who want to want to tug along a high speed walk, but just as happy to go slow for those who want to stop and smell every rose. I'm a lifelong cat lover and show that love through following your cat's cues. I give head pats, scratches, am great with a teaser wand but am happy to bring a book and just hang out for those looking to build trust with some quiet companionship.

Reviews

Great sitter! Communicative and got our shy cat to hang out with her.

Emily was fabulous. My dog loved her immediately. I'll be using her again

Emily took my dog Maggie on a great evening walk! Sent great pictures, and allowed Maggie to sniff to her heart’s content. Was willing to give her dinner and fresh water too! Will definitely think of Emily for future Maggie walk needs.

Emily did a wonderful job looking over my cat while I was away. She is well organized and came prepared. Her photos and messages help set me at ease of leaving my cat while I was away. Highly recommend and will rebook again
