My first memory of a dog involved a neighbor’s pup who lived in the fenced yard behind our home and was known to be very aggressive. I let him smell my hand until he felt comfortable enough to accept a treat, and eventually let me pet him. I earned the trust of this so-called untouchable dog and it showed me how even the most challenging of pups can be won over with the right mix patience, determination and understanding. My own dog was previously in an abusive situation and struggled with all sorts of fears and anxieties. Through caring for her, I have learned so much about triggers and watching out for warning signs. And now she is a stable, healthy and happy pup who has grown tremendously! I have also watched dogs who are famous for escaping any kind of home and kennel, so I am well-versed in setting up boundaries so dogs are not given the opportunity to run away. I was inspired to work with Rover through the years of experience I have caring for all types of dog breeds and temperaments. My deep love for animals drives my business and I use that passion to provide the best possible customer service for my clients. I make sure I understand their needs completely before any session and keep them up to date on our activities throughout the day. As a person, I am energetic, caring and responsible, three traits that are necessary in an amazing pet sitter! Dog owners book with me repeatedly because they know their dog is in safe and capable hands with me. I take their dog’s emotions seriously and tend to their every need. I also make homemade treats on a weekly basis for my own pup and would be happy to share!
