Safety, trust & environment

In your home, whether it be for a walk, check-in, or housesitting, I am happy to follow any rules that you have in mind! Since I am used to walking a reactive dog, I am extremely observant on walks for anything that might trigger a reaction.

Information Emily V. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or reactivity that I should be aware of! The more info, the better! :)

A typical day

I think that it’s important for dogs to be stimulated mentally and physically, so we will treat walks like a sniff-ari! I’m also happy to introduce games like treat chase or puzzles to keep your dogs moving and entertained. Or, if chilling out and cuddling is more your dog’s speed, I’m happy to do that too!

Pet care experience

Hey there! My name is Emily and I am a recent grad who has moved back to the area. I have always been an animal lover, and during grad school, I was able to broaden my animal care experiences! I am a dog mom to a German Shepherd named Gemma. She is a rescue and dog-reactive (but loves all people!), so I have extensive experience with walking and handling reactive dogs! Rest assured, when I care for your pets, Gemma will NOT be present. I was an avid foster and volunteer while in grad school for organizations such as Big Paws of the Ozarks, Fayetteville Animal Services, and Best Friends Resource Center. We have had fosters of a variety of ages and breeds. Additionally, I spent most of my Saturdays at the local farmers market with an adoptable shelter pup working on socialization and leash skills with fellow volunteers. Lastly, before moving, I was also a part-time employee at a pet resort that offered daycare, boarding, and grooming services. Hereto, I was able to care for even more dogs (and even some cats!). I am passionate about animal care and would love to take care of your pets, whether it be for walks, check-ins, or house sitting. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I am happy to chat :) I am currently located around the 19464/19343 area. Note: I am able to do check-in visits for cats and hang out for a bit, but cannot house sit because I am allergic.

Emily is an excellent pet caregiver. She is kind and genuinely loves dogs. She has grown up with dogs her entire life, she is completely comfortable around dogs and has a calming nature. She is a very responsible and respectful person. She loves spending time with her German shepherd, and makes sure that she is well taken care of. I would recommend Emily for any type of dog care. Any family would be truly lucky to have Emily look after their fur baby.

Emily should be everyone's first choice for a pet caregiver. She is kind, friendly, trustworthy, and extremely responsible. She passionately loves dogs of all kinds and treats them with the love and respect they deserve. I have witnessed Emily's kindness, attentiveness, and reliability firsthand and I can guarantee anyone that hires her will be completely and entirely satisfied with their choice.

Emily is a kind and genuine person who has a passion for dogs. She is the most loyal and responsible individual that I have ever met. This being said, she is wonderful with dogs and can be trusted with any of your fur-kids. It is not easy to let someone else care for a creature that you love so dearly, but Emily’s capabilities are undeniable. She will instantly put a dog’s safety before her own. You will not be disappointed!!
