I work full-time during the week, but I’m often available Thursday through Sunday to babysit or walk your pet. I’m a very active person who loves going for walks and for hikes, and would love some company from a furry pal! On the days that I am available to you, I will cater to the needs of your pet. If that means staying inside and watching a movie, I’m happy to do that!

I have a balcony, but if you are worried, I will have the animal stay inside or on a leash. I understand anxieties and worries about your pets, and I will never judge. I’m happy to receive a voice note or hop on a quick call so that you can inform me of all of your animals quirks and preferences! Let me know how many times a day they want to go for walks, if they have allergies, if they have any areas on their body that hurt so I can avoid petting there, let me know if they have certain triggers so that I can be conscious to avoid. I’ll always have treats on me so let me know if I can give them any or if you would rather I not. Please let me know if they’re aggressive and would rather go for walks at less busy times of the day. I’m happy to go on night walks or very early walks to avoid other animals. Let me know if they love or hate other dogs. I understand all of your animals complexities!
A typical day
I am a very active person who loves walking around to explore new neighbourhoods, sit in parks and read, or go to Gatineau Park and trail run. We can walk through splash pads too if they want! If your animal is more of an inside pet, I’m happy to read inside and talk to your pet and keep them company. We can go for slow walks around the block and stop the smell the flowers as many times as they need.

Pet care experience
Growing up I always had dogs and cats to care for, I recently lost my 16-year-old cat, and I miss caring for an animal. I feel comfortable and capable taking care of your pet. I will be patient and loving, and I will send all the pics! I’m available and looking forward to share my love with your animal. I am comfortable administering subcutaneous medications as I did so monthly for a few years with my old lady (she was on Solensia for her arthritis).

Emily was an absolutely wonderful cat sitter for my senior cat Emma, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. Emma is an extremely timid and cautious cat who usually takes a long time to warm up to new people. To my surprise, she quickly became comfortable with Emily. She was purring, asking for attention, showing her belly, and frequently coming over to socialize. Seeing Emma so relaxed and happy while I was away gave me incredible peace of mind! Emily also kept me updated with plenty of photos and videos, so I always knew Emma was safe, comfortable, and well cared for. It was obvious from every update how patient, gentle, and attentive she was. Beyond being an amazing pet sitter, Emily is one of the kindest and most caring people I’ve met. She has a natural connection with both animals and people, and it really shows in the way she looks after pets. I would trust her with Emma again without hesitation, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and genuinely wonderful pet sitter!
Emily was an excellent cat sitter who quickly stepped in when I needed last-minute help. Despite living far away, she visited my home multiple times a day. She also made sure to send me regular pictures and updates. It’s clear she has a genuine love for animals. I highly recommend her for any pet-sitting needs!
Emily has been my go to person to watch my cat when I’m away, whether it is just for a day or a week. She’s done a wonderful job at getting to know my cat, Milou, and his quirks and has been able and confident enough to let him outside briefly (where he likes to be) while she visits. I’ll often find that his food bowl or water bowl have not just been filled but also cleaned, his litter box cleaned, and so much more done. She goes above and beyond what you’ve asked and always checks in before leaving to see if I need anything else checked. Emily communicates well and knows how it feels to be away from your dear pet. I get updates, videos and photos of my cat every time she comes over to check on him. Something I appreciate, is that if she knows I’m not reachable, she’ll still send messages and photos so that I receive them when I’m back in service. I’ve seen Emily interact with cats and dogs alike, and has my full confidence to watch Milou or any other pet I have or may have in the future. She treats each of them as if they were her own, is trustworthy and caring. 20/10 would recommend.
