Safety, trust & environment
I can do drop-in visits and playtime, and I’m also happy to go on walks. Because of my own animals, I’m not able to stay overnight at your residence, but I’m happy to take care of plants as well!
Information Emily S. would like to know about your pet
I am happy to work with animals that are challenging or protective of their homes, as long as I am made aware of their behavior in advance. With experience in both a boarding kennel and as a veterinary assistant with Fear Free training, I feel confident in my ability to work with fearful animals in a way that allows pet owners to feel comfortable entrusting me with their companions while they are away.
A typical day
I enjoy providing enrichment and mental stimulation for the pets I pet sit, as well as my own dogs. This can include walks or time outside in the yard, playing with toys or puzzles, or simply cuddle time on the couch—whatever your pet prefers!

Second Year Veterinary Student!
Pet care experience
I have owned pets for many years, including several small mammals, and worked as a veterinary assistant for six years before entering veterinary school. I also spent eight years as a manager of a boarding kennel, where I gained extensive experience caring for a wide range of animals. During that time, I became Fear Free certified as a veterinary assistant, which makes me uniquely qualified to handle fearful or anxious pets. I've cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, other small mammals, and birds. I currently have a dog, a puppy, and three rabbits at home. Thanks to my background in the veterinary field, I’m also able to assist with medications and special-needs animals if needed. I strive to make every visit fun, safe, and stress-free for both you and your pets.

Reviews

Emily was so easy to work with! She always responded to my messages right away and sent photos at each visit. She was even willing to give ear medication to my cranky senior cat. I would definitely have Emily take care of my pet again!
