Being an online student and full time stay at home dog & cat mom I have plenty of free time! My typical schedule is waking up around 7-8, taking care of my pups in the morning (feeding, potty, and play time). I typically walk my dogs everyday, usually in the morning or afternoon and sometimes early evening as well. They also love to spend time outside and I let them in and out as often as they please. I feed my dogs again in the evening. I usually do different types of feeding activities with them at meal times including puzzle toys, sniffing mats, etc. I clean my cat's litters everyday as well. In the summer I am very careful about the heat and always keep my eye on the weather. I factor in each dogs individual needs and ability to tolerate heat. I try to stick to morning or evening times when it’s the coolest and I try to avoid pavement and keep the walks a little shorter. If the heat index is greater than 90, I will usually avoid walks and instead opt for playing indoors in addition to potty time outside!
