I’m currently working in research at CHOP, and am working on saving for medical school. I regularly work Monday - Friday, but have flexibility in my mornings and evenings during the week. I am also entirely free on weekends.

I’m very careful and hold the rules and requests of different individuals in extremely high regard. I fully understand that every pet is a unique individual, and each comes with their own likes, dislikes, and quirks just as any person would. My pets have plenty of their own! If there are any reactive behaviors or tendencies, anywhere the dog might not like to be touched or petted, any anxieties or preferences of any sort and any medical issues would obviously be pertinent to know about ahead of time. Also helpful to know would be the dog’s personality! What is he/she like? What are their favorite toys and games and places and treats? Tell me all the cool stuff that makes them unique and perfectly themselves!!
A typical day
I’m happy to play any kinds of games with the dogs I get to watch! Whether it’s fetch, tug, or just a good game of running until we both get tired, it’s usually just as fun for me as the dogs. I definitely have some favorite spots to go on walks as I live in a beautiful area with some beautiful parks and green spaces. I'm just as happy to keep up a quicker pace with a more active or younger pet, or take it a bit slower and more leisurely with an older or more laid back pet. I can keep a pet company and provide lots of love and attention just as well as providing high-energy, mental stimulation, and exercise!

Pet care experience
I’ve always been an animal lover and dog-owner, and have always taken care of my pets like they were my kids! My very first dog Rascal was my heart and soul. I nursed him through tummy aches and anxiety, and eventually through Cushings disease, diabetes, and cancer. After some time had passed, I welcomed two new puppies into my home, Trouble and Lucky. I got to experience raising puppies by myself for the first time, and while it was a whirlwind, I couldn't love them more if I tried. They're coming up on 3 years old now, and there's nothing I wouldn't do for them. I’m well-versed in caring for energetic puppies just as well as senior pups with needs that might be a little more extensive. I also have experience working with animals of all different sorts, having spent a year working as an intern and eventually a part-time staff member at the Philadelphia Zoo (I love my goat friends!!). And currently, I work with many different types of small animals in my role at CHOP. Regardless, I love all pets the same and can’t wait to meet and fall in love with many, many more!

Hi, I have known Emily all my life , she absolutely loves animals she is kind and loving and would provide wonderful care to your dog or cat. She treats animals like family if she sees an animal on the street she always stops to say hi and love on them. She is definitely an animal person. I would highly recommend her to care for your fur baby.
Emily is a very responsible and loving pet caregiver. She’s very attentive and easily forms a connection no matter the pet, caring for it as if it’s her own pet.
