I know how hard it can be to leave your pet, and I aim to make both you and your furry friend feel comfortable and well cared for. I also understand that having someone else in your home can bring its own anxieties. I’m just a normal woman—mom of two young kids and a healthcare worker—who takes that trust seriously. I like reality TV, 2000s emo music, genealogy, and I’m forever starting and abandoning craft projects. Consider me your stand-in bestie. I handle routine care including feeding, litter box maintenance, playtime, brushing, walking, and administering medications to cats when needed. I enjoy getting outside with pets to play fetch in the yard or explore neighborhoods. Even better is a cozy lap snuggle on the couch. I appreciate a detailed run-down before meeting your pet: quirks, routines, preferences, and behaviors. The more I know, the better I can care for them exactly the way you do. You can expect plenty of photo and video updates for peace of mind. As a scrapbooker and millennial woman, I take photos very seriously and love capturing the perfect cute, funny, or frame-worthy shot. Need plants watered or a small task handled while I’m there? I treat every home as if it were my own and every pet as if they were mine. Safety is my top priority. I secure doors, gates, and any areas where pets could escape, and I carefully follow each owner’s instructions. I pay close attention to pets’ body language and behavior, adjusting my interactions to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I provide consistent supervision, and ensure pets feel secure and cared for at all times.

Emily is my go-to person for boarding my anxious cat when I’m traveling for extended periods of time. She is wonderful with her and goes above and beyond to accommodate her needs. Emily has her own cat who tolerates other animals fine, but that’s not the case for my cat. I really appreciate how Emily keeps our cats separate, even doing things to keep my cat from being aware that another animal is in the home. She always follows care instructions exactly and sends regular photo updates, which gives me complete peace of mind while I’m away. I would highly recommend her.
Emily has done many drop-in visits for our cat over the years. Our cat is skittish and usually avoids people, but she always comes out to see Emily. She also unfortunately has a habit of sometimes using places other than the litter box, and Emily consistently takes the initiative to do a walk-through of the house to clean up where needed, even when we’re home. Emily is attentive and reliable, which makes it easy for us to travel.

Schedule
I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which allows me to offer standard drop-in visits and extended daytime drop-in visits for pets who need extra companionship, supervision, or enrichment during the day. Visits can range from 30 minutes to several hours.
