Caring, reliable, and affordable pet care
I have grown up with dogs since I was born. When I was 10 years old, my family got a dog that was mine rather than the family's dog, and I was responsible for all aspects of caring for her. In more recent years when I've no longer had a dog of my own, word would get around that I liked animals and many friends and neighbours would ask me to care for their dogs and cats when they travelled. I have about 10 years of pet sitting for others. My regular customers included a dachsund, sheltie, shiba inu, black lab mix, collie mix, standard poodle, 2 medium sized mix breed dogs, and 2 cats, among others.

Schedule
Due to a new addition to our family, I am not working at the moment, so have a fair bit of availability around other commitments. However, pets must be good with babies and their needs must be compatible with the time it takes to care for a little one :) While I am the main person providing care for pets, my partner Robbie is registered as an additional caretaker as he may occasionally assist with care.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a good-sized fenced back garden. I do not have any pets so can also accommodate pets who prefer not to be around other animals. Generally, pets are welcome on the sofas downstairs but we would prefer they do not go on the furniture upstairs in the bedrooms.
A typical day
I like to be a very active person and enjoy long walks and runs, though at the moment these activities are a bit shorter due to caring for a little one. I live near several parks and also have a good sized back garden. I will only be able to accept pets whose needs can be met while also caring for a baby, as I want your pet to get the amount of attention they need!

- Please let me know any needs or preferences your dog or cat may have ahead of time! This will help me know how to best care for your pet. Additionally, our back garden has quite high fences on 3 sides, with a slightly lower back wall (approximately chest height). While this wouldn't be a problem for most dogs, please do let me know if your dog is a particularly good jumper and likely to want to take themselves on an adventure! We have also recently added a small wildlife pond to our back garden. Do let us know if you have any concerns about this.
