I'm an experienced and dependable pet sitter with 12 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds. I'm new to Rover but not new to pet sitting. I’ve looked after cats, dogs, and small pets for friends and family with a wide range of personalities, ages, and care needs over the years. I don't have pets if my own at the moment but I had cats and dogs growing and have several cats if my own over the years and was a dog co-parent for several years. I understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable while their owners are away, so I focus on maintaining their normal routines, providing plenty of attention, and making sure they feel safe and relaxed. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to adapt to each pet’s unique needs—whether that means long walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or keeping them company. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is always to treat every pet like my own and give owners peace of mind while they’re away.

Emily was absolutely amazing! My cat was very relaxed and comfortable when I got back and she took great care of my place. She even went above and beyond to handover to the next sitter before I got home and wash the sheets and towels for her. I would highly recommend her she was fantastic!
I can’t recommend Emily enough as a cat sitter. She recently looked after my two cats in my home in Ottawa for two weeks, and the entire experience was smooth and stress-free. She was flexible with scheduling and very responsive to my messages, which I appreciated with my very busy schedule. I loved how she took the time to ask detailed questions about my cats’ routines, personalities, and needs, which really showed how seriously she took the well-being of my precious fur babies. While I was away, I had complete peace of mind knowing my cats were in good hands. When I got home, everything was in great shape and, most importantly, my cats were happy and well cared for. There were absolutely no issues at all. I would happily trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.

Schedule
I work from home and have flexibility to leave my desk at various points throughout the day with enough notice to block time in my calendar for walks and potty breaks. Staying overnight at your house or hosting them at mine is a win-win: your pet gets the attention they need, I get their company and we both get walk break and some fresh air :)

If I'm looking after your pet in your home, I tailor my care to each pet’s needs and the service requested. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking to their usual routine - feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter or cage cleaning, and plenty of attention. I always so my best to make pets feel safe and relaxed in their familiar environment. If I'm hosting a pet in my home, I only accept pets from a single household to minimize stress on your pets. Although I live in an apartment, I'm right next to the canal which is a great dog walking route.
A typical day
I work from home so I like to take dogs out for frequent potty breaks so they can smell all the smells. I also like to offer them toys to play with while I'm on callsor between meetings if they're interested.
