I love your pets like they’re mine!
Hi, my name is Emily and over my lifetime I have had 13 dogs and 7 cats (along with other pets such as bearded dragons, a gold capped conure, snakes, and more)! I currently have an American Miniature Shepherd named Piglet, who I love with my entire heart. I’ve been using Rover for about 4 years, and pet sitting for 6. I have many years of experience and lots of loyal regulars, but I’m always looking for more animals to love! Since I have grown up in a household with at least 3 dogs and 2 cats at a time, I do NOT charge extra fees for extra animals. I’m used to large packs and I want to keep pet care affordable for everyone, including those with many animals. Extra pets just means extra love 😊 I have experience with: * Administering medication (oral, injection, and topical) * Reactive dogs * Animal aggressive dogs * A variety of animals * Animal behavior and body language * A variety of dog breeds, from Dachshunds to Rottweilers to Pitbulls to Great Danes. I likely have experience with your pup’s breed, or at least vast knowledge on the breed * Training (adult dogs and puppies - I have trained 3 of my own dogs) * Puppies as young as 4 weeks old * Kittens as young as 4 weeks old * Animal first aid I will take care of your pet like they are my own, and I love my pets more than anything! I often read about animal behavior and health and I can assure you that your pet will be extremely safe in my hands. I will continue to implement your training during my time with your dog if requested. I am familiar with many training techniques and have worked with professional trainers in the past. Booking with me means your fur-baby will be treated exactly as you treat them! I will love and care for your pets as if they are my own, ensuring an stress-free experience for you and them. I am currently insured both by Rover and my own personal insurance - PCI (Pet Care Insurance). I have never had to use either in all 6 years of my pet sitting experience, but I’d always rather be safe than sorry.

I will care for your pet at your home and keep them safe in different ways depending on the situation. If you do not have a fenced yard, I will take your pet out on a leash always! If you do have a fenced yard, I will let your pet into your yard and supervise them the entire time they are outside. I will send pictures of your pet every time I see them, along with an update! I promise to handle your pet gently with care, love, and safety. I also have a car and no problem with driving your pet to any appointments they need! I promise to keep your house clean and leave it better than I found it. I enjoy house keeping and want to make your experience going away as smooth as possible.

Emily was an outstanding caregiver for our three energetic dogs! From the moment I met her at the meet-and-greet to the very last day she cared for our doggies, she was absolutely wonderful. Emily kept in constant communication with us and made sure we always knew how everything was going. She sent pictures during every visit, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She followed all of our instructions to a tee and went above and beyond to make sure our dogs felt comfortable, happy, and right at home. I truly can’t say enough good things about Emily and the exceptional care she provided. It was clear from the start that she genuinely cared about our dogs, and we felt completely comfortable knowing they were in her hands. We will definitely use Emily again the next time we have to be away from our doggies. She is truly top-notch and we highly recommend her!
Emily is a treasure. Her updates with each visit are something I cherish. She takes such great photos, writes long detailed descriptions of each visit, makes me feel like I’m there. You can tell that my pets enjoy her visits too.
Emily has been absolutely phenomenal! From the very beginning, she has been reliable, communicative, and incredibly thoughtful in caring for our home and animals while we were away. She is trustworthy, dependable, and truly treats your pets and home as if they were her own. It is such a relief to know everything is in such capable hands while we’re away. Emily took such incredible care of my dog, Silas, and I couldn't have asked for a better sitter. From the very first visit, it was obvious she genuinely cared about him and took the time to get to know his personality, routines, and favorite games. Her detailed report cards were amazing—they weren't just updates, they painted a picture of exactly how each visit went and gave me complete peace of mind. She made sure Silas got plenty of exercise, played his favorite ball games, let him cool off in the pool when he got hot, gave him lots of love and kisses (which he clearly adored!), and always made sure he had fresh water before she left. She paid attention to every detail, from whether he had eaten to where he went to the bathroom and how he was feeling throughout the visit. What impressed me most was how much Emily truly enjoyed spending time with Silas. She noticed his funny little quirks, adapted their games to keep him engaged, and treated him like he was her own. She even brought a package inside for us without being asked—a thoughtful gesture that speaks volumes about the kind of person she is. Knowing Silas was not only safe but genuinely loved while we were away meant everything to us. Emily is trustworthy, attentive, caring, and clearly has a natural connection with animals. I recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for an outstanding pet sitter. We will absolutely be booking with Emily again and again. Emily is amazing with our two cats; one spicy senior and a big boy who misses his mom. In the past I have worried about leaving them when we travel but now that Emily watches them, I know they're getting the very best care. She goes above and beyond to give them the attention they need while we're away and getting her daily reports and photos is so reassuring! Thanks so much Emily! 😸😻
Could not ask for more with Emily. She did an amazing job with our cat Slinky, 16 years old and needing meds. Her passion for caring for animals is evident- Slinky was cranky on first visit and her best pal on the last! Besides caring for Slinky and hanging out with him for awhile on each visit, making sure he had food and water and meds, she cleaned everything and sent us great pics of Slinky each visit. Emily is a passionate dedicated care giver and we hope to have her help us out again! Thanks Emily!

Schedule
I currently work part time on MWF from 10am-4pm at a school for children/adolescents with autism and related developmental disorders. I am a homebody, so once I get home from work I am there to stay! I go to URI part time as well - working towards a degree in psychology and social work.

- Let me know if your dog has any aggressive or reactive tendencies beforehand. I will not judge you, or refuse to take care of your dog, but I will be able to better handle them knowing all of their "flaws" in advance. My Pitbull had severe animal aggression and reactivity towards people, and I loved her despite that. I just want to be able to keep your pet safe and happy at all times!
