I am a teacher, so during the summer my hours are pretty flexible. I do have to teach summer school in the mornings for a short period of time, but then I am available for mid morning or lunch time pet breaks!

Making sure all animals are safe and well taken care of is very important to me. Following instructions on how a dog best responds is very critical. Dogs are animals of habit when trained, so I want to continue to follow routines and expectations that their owner has. In my full time job I am trusted with children and I understand that for many people, pets are loved just as much as a child.

I like to know if dogs have any special habits. Some people have their dog trained to walk on the left or right side of them. Some prefer that dogs stop and sit at the crosswalk before we cross. I would be happy to follow any of these requests as long as I know!
A typical day
I love to be active, so taking dogs on a brisk walk, or even a run if they have that much energy is not a problem! Personally most of my dogs and friends dogs love to play fetch, so getting time outside to play with the ball always seems like a treat for them.

I have grown up with pets, dogs specifically my entire life! I love dogs of all ages, all shapes and sizes! Having an animal companion to spend time with is some of the best company you can ever have! In my family I have helped raise/train puppies, we have also fostered in my household, and I have taken care of animals for friends and family. I am a very active person, I teach phy ed, so I love getting out for walks or runs.

Emily has owned dogs for most of her life and has always been a responsible, thoughtful and caring dog owner. She is experienced with dogs of all sizes, including large-breed, high-energy dogs. I would trust her first and foremost with caring for or walking my dog!
