Pet care experience
Care when you are not there!
After finishing Graduate school and getting my first full-time job as a music teacher, I adopted my dog, Bailey. She had just turned two and was given up to the animal shelter because she was "too much to handle". She is a blue heeler (cattle dog) mix and has the strongest prey drive. It is challenging to train an intelligent dog with a strong prey drive that is also an escape artist! I understand the importance of not letting the dog get out without a leash properly secure. Bailey is now 11 years old and I am so proud of her progress. I'm not a dog training but I have helped my brother start the training progress with his first young dog. And have helped care for his 4 cats and his Great Pyrenees Mountain dog mix when he was gone for a week. Growing up I was always the dog lover and when I was old enough for our first family dog, we got a Shih Tzu and I took her through 4H dog training and agility. I have a special talent for trimming dog toe nails even for the ones that normally won't let people touch their paws. I feel comfortable walking big dogs or dogs that tend to pull. I also enjoy running with dogs if that is something your dog might need/enjoy. I've taken my dog on bike rides but that takes some extra training and trust to bike with a dog.

I am able to care for your pet(s) in your home. I have reliable transportation and can stay at your place if needed but prefer to stop in and not stay.
Ratings and reviews
Emily took excellent care of our doggie, Penny Lane! When we returned from our 11 day vacation, we came back to a very happy and healthy fur baby. Emily was reliable, methodical, and meticulous with her care and it was so comforting to know that Penny Lane was in kind and trustworthy hands while we were away. When you can't take your pup with you, Emily is a fantastic option for your pet's care. Thank you, Emily!!

Emily was so easy to work with. This was our first time using Rover and we felt totally confident about leaving our two fur babies in her care. She was competent when giving our dog his eye drops and she was extremely communicative. We would definitely use her again without hesitation!

Emily was great! She was very communicative and professional. We look forward to hiring her again.

Emily is always on top of every detail and flexible to adapt with new procedures as needed to keep the dogs happy. We have a high needs dog with anxiety and her time and attention makes a huge difference.

So communicative! My fur babies seemed very happy.

Emily is the most gentle loving person. Perfect for what my sensitive, nervous Aussie needed.
