When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to keep everything just like their normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. I follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, playtime, exercise, and any medications. I spend quality time with the pets, giving them plenty of attention, cuddles, and stimulation based on their personality. I also keep their space clean and secure, making sure doors and windows are locked and everything is safe. Plus, I send regular updates to the owners so they can relax knowing their pets are happy and well cared for.
Information Emily P. would like to know about your pet
Their daily routine (feeding times, walks, playtime) • Any medical needs or medications they require • Behavioural quirks or things they love/are afraid of, if they are dog/cat aggressive • Favourite toys, treats, or activities • Emergency contacts (your vet and a backup contact) • House rules or areas that are off-limits • Any recent changes in their health or behavior Knowing all this helps me keep your pet happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away!
A typical day
I start the day by following your pet’s usual routine — feeding them their meals on time and making sure they have fresh water. After that, we’ll spend some quality time playing and bonding. For dogs, that might mean a walk around the neighborhood, fetch, or some fun training games. For cats, I bring out their favorite toys, like feather wands or laser pointers, and maybe some gentle petting or brushing. Throughout the day, I make sure your pet gets plenty of love and attention, whether that’s cuddle time, exploring their favorite spots, or just chilling nearby. If your pet has any special needs, like medication or extra rest, I’m right there to make sure those are taken care of. Before ending the day, I do a quick check to keep their space clean and cozy, then offer one last round of pets and reassurance so they feel calm and happy.
