Hello! My name is Emily, a professional petsitter and an acoustic folk musician who has been traveling and petsitting internationally. My partner, Jason, and I just bought a house in the Linover neighborhood in Nottingham in February 2024. During my work stays for my hosts in several different countries, I have cared for a variety of pets including dogs, cats, rabbit, chickens, cows, and fish. The philosophy I use in my petsitting business is to live within a gift economy model. The idea that makes this model work is that the more I give, the more the relationships can become very rich. This means that as a petsitter, I honor the homes I stay in as if they were my own. I serve the pets and pet owners as if I was offering gifts to my own family. OVERNIGHT CARE: A couple things for you to consider as you feel out if we’re a good match. At this time, I am only reserving overnight petsitting with clients who are comfortable with receiving from both me and Jason. Jason is also my music partner and so we work closely together. (jasonandemily dot com) I have found that having us both present during a pet sitting job offers the pets and pet owners the absolute very best care I can offer. On weekends, we have Jeremy, age 12, Jason's son. When he is invited to, he sometimes comes with us on overnight petsitting jobs, but it is never expected. (We bring our own bedding for him.) Jeremy is my little responsible partner on my petsitting jobs. At his mom's house he cares for 10 goats, 5 cats, a mini-horse and a pot-belly pig! In general, everyone in our family takes our petsitting business seriously and treats the homes and animals with high respect. In addition to my pet responsibilities, I also offer other housesitting services such as watering plants, picking up the mail, taking trash bins to the curb, etc. If you feel good about moving forward, I will be in touch with Jason and see how the dates work for him as well.

I absolutely love when pet owners have a list of details ready for me. I carefully read every word. Many pet owners write a whole "novel" of instructions and I absolutely love that. This list also includes your vets number for any emergency care needed.

Could not recommend Emily more. My four year old lab loved being with her and we left for our trip in complete confidence with no worries. Emily sent updates all week (and pics!). She took wonderful care of the house too. We hope to use her again for future trips.
Emily was very attentive to our pet's needs. She housesat while we were out of town and took care of our two dogs and three cats. She also sent updates daily. I would highly recommend her for your animals!
Always feel sure that the babies are taken care of! Emily and Jason are the best and will definitely request them in the future. The house is well taken care of too.
So glad to have found Emily and Jason. Our 4 cats were well taken care of even with one of them being under the weather. Appreciate the extra care given to getting the mail and packages. The check-ins were great and we didn’t worry about a thing
Emily was a pleasure to work with. She met with our household before our vacation and walked the property to meet our many critters individually by name! Her partner Jason was very patient and kind as well. While we were away our older pup had a medical need for antibiotics which Emily gladly took on with a loving touch. She sent daily updates and was very thorough in her descriptions and even asked many questions to make sure we were both clear via text. Upon our return, each of our pets seemed very relaxed and centered. Almost as if we had never left. We could tell she nurtured and loved each of them the way we would have done ourselves. Emily was absolutely awesome! This was the first time I have used a pet sitter for my 4 cats and only felt comfortable with family members taking care of them. After speaking with Emily multiple days and times I really had a sense of comfort and felt like we were on the same page. I'm very detail oriented and she was the same way. She took great care in reading through my care instructions and never hesitating to ask questions. She provided updates through the week long stay and it just gave me a sense of relief knowing my fur family were well taken care of and felt very comfortable with her staying in my home. This was an absolutely wonderful experience and would not hesitate to ask her to sit for us again.

Schedule
As a musician, I bring my laptop and guitar/keyboard so I can be at your home with the animals almost 100% of the time you are gone. I love playtime and cuddle time. They are my priority when I am there.
