I was that teenager growing up who never wanted to babysit, so I was the neighborhood pet sitter. As soon as I was living on my own, I adopted my first rescue pup. Today, my fiancé and I have three rescue dogs and two rescue cats. When I'm not with my dogs, I'm working full-time at a local college teaching writing. I have a Ph.D. in education, and wrote a dissertation that focused on how canine-assisted reading programs can support children's literacy development. I am an active member of Pet Partners CNY, a local therapy animal organization. Olive is a certified therapy dog, and together we visit local schools and other facilities. I also have a small petwear business up and running where I make handmade pet wear (oliveandelishop) - we make appearances at local craft shows and markets. My life is centered around my love for animals and I look forward to spoiling yours!
