From City Plans to Pet Plans
I grew up in a house where there was always a dog, and they were never the same kind twice. At one point it was a tiny Chihuahua who thought she ran the place, then a Boykin Spaniel who needed to burn off energy every single day, and later big dogs like Pitbulls, Rottweilers, and a Newfoundland who had zero awareness of his size. Living with all of them taught me pretty quickly how much personality and energy levels matter. Some dogs wanted long walks and constant movement, others just wanted a quiet presence and a predictable routine. Over time, I learned that good care isn’t about just doing the basics, it’s about paying attention. I’m the person who remembers how your dog likes their leash put on, notices when they need a slower walk, and picks up on the small habits that make them feel comfortable. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and I take routines seriously, because I know how much pets depend on them. I like keeping things calm, familiar, and low stress, especially when their people are away. My goal is always for your pet to feel safe, and for you to feel confident knowing they’re with someone who pays attention and showing up for them.

I try to keep things as close to your pet’s normal routine as possible. In your home, that means following your instructions closely, sticking to familiar feeding times, walk schedules, and any house rules you already have in place. I’m respectful of your space and make sure everything is left the way I found it. When pets are in my care, I keep things calm and structured. I pay attention to energy levels, adjust walks and play accordingly, and make sure pets have plenty of downtime if that’s what they need. I don’t rush routines and I give pets time to settle in and feel comfortable. Across both settings, I prioritize consistency, clear communication, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for. I’m always happy to share updates so you know how things are going while you’re away.

Emily is great! She watched our dog at our apartment for a long weekend and was very communicative and trustworthy. She left our place as just as we left it and took great care of our dog! We will definitely use Emily again and so happy we found her!
Emily did a fantastic job house-sitting Beau! She went above and beyond and made sure he got his energy out on long walks and during multiple play sessions. Beau loved her. She also kept our apartment super clean for when we returned. We're so glad we found Emily and will gladly work with her again!
Emily was so great! Very communicate while watching Fitz at our place for a week long vacation. We loved getting our Fitz updates daily. Would absolutely recommend!

Schedule
I'm a City Planner and I work remotely, which gives me flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and spending real time with pets during the day. I’m also available on weekends as long as plans are communicated ahead of time. I keep an early schedule, up early and usually in bed around 10 pm, so early morning walks or feedings aren’t an issue for me. I like having a routine and planning ahead, so as long as expectations are clear, I’m happy to make pet care part of my schedule.
