Pet care experience

Professional, flexible, personalizd

I’m a licensed, insured, and pet-CPR certified sitter and walker with 15+ years of experience. I specialize in pets with behavioral or medical challenges and love working with all breeds! I’ve worked both independently (LLC) and for a small company, fostered dozens of animals, and volunteered in the medical wings of two shelters, where I earned a Fear-Free certification. I’m available for long-term care, work every holiday, and accommodate last-minute bookings whenever possible- I aim to be an accessible, flexible sitter, especially for returning clients. For walks and drop-ins, I only offer one-offs or short-term recurring visits. My approach with anxious/reactive pets balances patience, acceptance, and gentle progress. I focus on supporting animals in moving toward calmness at their own pace, staying attuned and giving them time and space to build trust. While we hope for change, I also believe all dogs are perfect and worthy of complete respect exactly as they already are. ✨If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect even if your pet does not have specific behavioral or medical needs. Every animal benefits from a caregiver who learns their unique personality, communication style, and baseline wellbeing.✨

Emily did such a fantastic job caring for our dog. She accepted our booking last minute and was fantastic at communicating both before, during, and after. She sent lots of pictures and updates of our dog who was clearly happy and loved while we were away.

Emily consistently shows up on time, sends us plenty of updates, and leaves our home clean and our dogs well cared for. If there were a six star option to rate Emily, I would pick it!

Emily is our go-to pet sitter for our anxious dog and somewhat needy cat, and she is incredible. We are so lucky to have her to watch our pets!

Another great trip for us and another great weekend of care from Emily. We love that Emily sends us frequent updates and pictures. Additionally we greatly appreciate that our home is left just as clean if not more clean then we left it. Also a few months ago, one of our pets passed away. Emily was so kind and even brought us a small gift. We appreciate Emilys care and we know that our dogs do too!

Safety, trust & environment

I carry insurance through Pet Care Insurance Co., backed by Lloyd's of London, and hold certification in Fear-Free Pet Care through the MSPCA. Additionally, I am a member of Pet Sitters International and am Red Cross certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. I have sliding-scale spots available for low-income families with reactive dogs and pets with terminal illness- please contact me for more information.

A typical day

My time with your pet will be completely dependent on your pet's needs. I sit for some couch potatoes who mainly just love to cuddle and watch movies, some who love long morning walks early enough to avoid seeing other dogs, some who don't want much interaction from me but need someone to be available for them in whatever way feels good for them.

I will ask you to fill out a little form for me so I have the baseline info I need, and if you have any previous notes you've either put together for previous sitters or that you would like to give to me on top of my form I would love that. The more information the better, and I really would love to have as much as possible in writing even if we've already discussed in person!
