I grew up with dogs and I’ve personally raised and trained two of my own. Most notably, I trained my last dog to become a certified therapy dog. Dog training is something I am passionate about. Beyond my love for dogs, I’m confident in my understanding of canine behaviour, body language, and overall care. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and positive environment for every pet I look after. I’m a responsible and reliable and feel I am able to thoughtfully meet the needs of your animal. I love being outside, walking and exploring different parks and trails and it brings me so much joy to share that experience with your furry loved ones.

I had my dog Kru stay with Emily for 3 nights this past weekend. I hadn't used rover before so it was all new to me. She has a great fenced on yard and her own dog for mine to play with for the few days. I don't have another dog so it was great that mine was able to play and burn energy at her house. She gave me reassurance I could check-in at any point and sent daily updates and pictures, which helped me to relax knowing Kru was doing great. She seemed to know alot about dogs and was attentive to learning about what my dog needed. He came back sleepy and happy. I highly recommend Emily!!
Emily is absolutely amazing with animals. She trained her own dog as a therapy dog, and later helped me train my puppy (now 5 yrs old) into the well-behaved dog he is today! She has taken my dog many times for extended periods of time, as a puppy, when sick, and everything in between. She is maybe his favorite person on earth. She is extremely attentive, capable, and loving. Could not speak highly enough of her as a caregiver :)
Emily is the best! She has watched my dog multiple times. She is extremely communicative with updates/photos as requested. She loves dogs and prioritizes their safety and comfort. My dog is pretty anxious and she took the time to create a mutual bond/respect with him which I'm happy to say has now made her one of his favourite people. It's really reassuring to me that I don't have to stress out about my dog when I'm unable to be home.
Emily is one of the only people I trust to watch my pup! She balances so much loving care while making sure to keep up with the training manners we’ve taught. That same manner is reflected in how she cares for her own dog Frankie. I would highly recommend her!!

As a school social worker, I’m off during July and August, which allows me to fully prioritize the needs of the dogs in my care. During the rest of the year, I make it a priority to provide at least an hour of exercise each day for my own dog, whether that’s an early morning walk, an evening walk after work, or both. I’m flexible and happy to adapt to meet the specific needs, energy levels, and routines of your pet.

I live in a two-storey home with a large, fully fenced backyard. My own dog spends most of his time on the main floor and outside in the yard—usually sunbathing on the deck. I’m able to adapt my home to meet the needs of your pet, whether that means creating space for rest, play, or quiet time. With my own dog in the home, I’m always mindful of safety, supervision, and proper introductions to ensure a comfortable and secure environment for everyone.
