My name is Emily, & caring for animals has been my passion for as long as I can remember! 😊 I treat every little angel in my care with my most wholehearted & undivided attention, as if they were one of my own. As I always say, they’re our sweet furry-legged children! I have 10+ years of experience caring for animals through trusted family & friends, alongside volunteering and fostering in our community & local shelters. I have an ample amount of referrals available upon request from clients in the Austin and surrounding areas as well! I’ve worked diligently throughout the years with many pups facing behavioral challenges and fully understand the patience and consistency they require. I also have personal experience with our family pup, Chloe, who struggled with separation anxiety and leash reactivity, which helped me better understand the structure they need. I’m more than willing to dedicate the time and level of care for rescues and pups who just need a little extra patience getting acclimated to new people or places! Slow and steady always wins the race. 😉 I will note as a single handler I do my best to replicate each family’s routine, but do appreciate clear behavior notes so I can provide the safest and most supportive care. 🫶 I have a lot of hands on experience caring for special needs animals who require a wide range of medical care and supervision, including my own pup Chloe who struggled with epilepsy and incontinence. I’ve administered oral medications and daily eye drops while following any other medication schedules as needed. I’ve also supported pups recovering post op with round the clock care and snuggles, making sure they’re comfortable and settling in during recovery. I keep a very close eye on pups and always update my clients if I notice anything out of the ordinary. I’ve also worked through feeding aversions by hand feeding or spoon feeding when needed, and have prepared specialized and home cooked meals in households that prep their own, making sure pups are eating according to schedules and feel just like they would with their owners at home. A lot of my passion for what I do comes from my experience with my sweetest boy Buddy, a foster pup who was heartworm positive and dealing with several other health/skin challenges. I worked to rehabilitate him, raised the funds for his treatment, and personally rehomed him. He’s now getting back those golden years, soaking up sunshine and all the love he could get in his new home, where he’s now part of a tiny chihuahua pack! Caring for Buddy showed me how healing in home care can be, and it is a big part of why I value keeping pets comfortable in familiar environments, especially for animals who may feel overwhelmed in traditional boarding settings. I was blessed to share 16 wonderful years with my sweet gal Chloe, a Border Collie Husky mix who grew up right alongside me since 1st grade.
