A Second Home For Your Furry Baby
I've grown up around animals my whole life, especially dogs—we had three in my family (in the past 20 years), and I’ve cared for them through every stage, from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs. That hands-on experience taught me how to handle all kinds of behaviors and needs with patience and care. Since I work from home, I’ve naturally become the go-to dog sitter for friends and family, and I’ve really enjoyed expanding that into more regular pet care. I tend to build a quick rapport with dogs—whether it's playtime, walks, or just being a calm companion, they usually warm up to me fast. I genuinely love spending time with them and make sure they get the attention and affection they deserve.

Emily is a lifesaver book with her asap! Even with my unusual animal (tortoise) she was able to perfectly take care of my baby with the utmost of care. If u want a responsible person who communicates for sure book with her!

I highly recommend Emily as an exceptional dog sitter; she demonstrates genuine care and affection for dogs.

Emily was fantastic! She was so kind, and our pups warmed up to her right away. She was super responsive and kept us updated with lots of pictures and videos throughout the day, which we really appreciated. We felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were in great hands. Highly recommend Emily as a dog sitter!

Emily did a great job walking Phoebe! She was professional, made sure to carefully follow instructions, and was patient with her.

Emily was so patient with my fearful little dog. She let us come over beforehand to see the apartment and let my dog explore. She was very sweet and professional the whole time. I would definitely recommend her.

Had a great experience with Emily! She took our dog for an extra long walk and played ball with him which made him extra happy. Will book again 😀

Schedule
I work from home, so I have the flexibility to give your pet attention throughout the day—whether it’s potty breaks, playtime, or just some company and cuddles. Because of that, I’m available for boarding any day of the week. If you’re nearby, I’m also happy to stop by for midday walks or check-ins to make sure your dog is well cared for while you're out.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I live in a one-bedroom apartment that gives your pet plenty of room to wander, play, and relax comfortably indoors. I'm based in Long Island City, where we're surrounded by green spaces—there are several parks and dog parks within a 20-minute walk. One of my favorite spots to take pets is a large grassy area by the East River that includes a dog park—it's perfect for safe socializing and outdoor fun.
A typical day
A typical day starts with a nice morning walk to get some energy out, followed by breakfast and a little quiet time. Throughout the day, I tailor activities based on your dog’s personality and mood—some love playing fetch or tug with their favorite toy, while others are all about belly rubs and cozy naps. I pay close attention to their body language to make sure they’re getting the kind of attention they enjoy. In the afternoon, I usually take them out for a longer walk, often to a nearby dog park where they can safely socialize and sniff around. Between walks, we’ll have indoor playtime, and plenty of companionship. If your dog enjoys training, I can also reinforce basic commands or give them a little enrichment work. Dinner is followed by a potty break in the early evening, and then we wind down with some calm hangout time—whether that’s curling up on the couch or just relaxing together. Every pet’s different, and I do my best to make the day feel fun, safe, and familiar for them.
