I work in a school so before or after school works well for me. I have a lot of availability during school/holiday breaks including summer. In the summer, I work until noon so I have lots of time to see some lovely pets

I love animals and have had pets since I was 3 years old. I grew up with 2 cats, but always loved my friend’s dogs. My family got a puppy 5 years ago and I discovered the joy of taking care of a dog. I enjoy playing, walking, and building a relationship with every dog I meet.

Our dog Finley has separation anxiety related to being born during the Covid pandemic which is compounded by the fact that both my husband and I work from home. We have tried sending Finley to doggy daycare and boarding her in someone’s home but unfortunately these are not good options due to multiple vet visits needed for treatment of stress colitis. Emily has watched Finley in our home several times while we are away on vacations. The longest time we have been away is 10 days and Finley has never had any gastrointestinal issues while under her care. Emily loves to take Finley on walks around the neighborhood. Trips to the dog park or long walks on forest preserve trails are enjoyed by both.
