Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are my top priorities in every service I offer. My home is a calm, dog-friendly environment with fully fenced front and back yards for secure outdoor play and exercise. I supervise all yard time and never leave dogs unattended outside. Inside, I keep a clean, structured space where dogs can relax comfortably and feel at home. I have experience handling strong pullers, escape-prone dogs, and pets with special needs. Walks are always done with secure leashes and close attention to surroundings. I’m comfortable administering medication and following detailed care instructions, and I’m happy to maintain your dog’s normal routine to reduce stress. For drop-ins and walks at your home, I respect your space and follow all instructions carefully — feeding schedules, medication, crate routines, and safety preferences. I always double-check doors, gates, and harnesses to make sure pets are secure. I treat every dog like my own and focus on patience, structure, and positive attention so they feel safe, understood, and loved while you’re away.

Information Emily M. would like to know about your pet
I like to learn as much as possible about your pet ahead of time so I can give them the best care. It’s helpful to know their routine, energy level, temperament, and anything that makes them feel safe and comfortable. Please let me know about leash behavior, recall, crate training, feeding schedules, medications, allergies, fears, or triggers with people or other dogs. I also appreciate knowing their favorite activities, toys, and any quirks that make them unique — the little details help me make their stay feel familiar and stress-free. There’s no such thing as too much information when it comes to your pet. My goal is to keep them safe, happy, and cared for exactly the way you would at home.
A typical day
I love keeping dogs mentally and physically engaged! I use puzzle toys and lick mats for enrichment, which are great for stimulation and calming anxious energy. I also have tennis ball launchers and a fenced backyard for safe playtime, so dogs can run, explore, and burn off energy in a secure space. I’m a big fan of long walks and structured outdoor time, tailored to each dog’s age and energy level. Some dogs want a good workout, others prefer a slower sniff walk — I’m happy to match their pace. Inside, there’s plenty of attention, cuddles, and downtime so they feel relaxed and at home. My goal is to create a balance of play, enrichment, and rest so your dog is happy, fulfilled, and comfortable while you’re away

Pet care experience
Hi! I’ve been a dog owner for over 10 years and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had my own dog since I was 17, so I understand the long-term commitment, patience, and love that goes into caring for a pet like family. In college, I helped raise guide dogs for the blind, which gave me hands-on experience with training, structure, and handling dogs with different temperaments and needs. I’m very comfortable walking strong pullers, managing escape-artists, and staying alert on walks to keep pets safe. I also have experience administering medications and previously shadowed veterinarians, so I’m confident caring for dogs with medical or special needs. I live in a house with fully fenced front and back yards, providing a safe and secure space for play and exercise. My dog is friendly and well-socialized, making our home a great environment for boarding and daycare. I always prioritize slow introductions and safety to make sure every dog feels comfortable. I treat every dog like my own and know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Whether your dog needs extra patience, structure, or just lots of love and playtime, I’m happy to provide it!
Reviews

She's always my top pick to look after my pet! Thanks for all the care and love you give my little one. Tobby just loves being with Emily.

I loved Emily's care of Toby. He enjoyed his stay so much that he didn't seem to want to leave home. Thank you for your patience, photos, feedback, and kindness.
