Hello! I'm Emily, a calm, attentive sitter with a soft spot for senior pets. I specialize in house-sitting for older cats and dogs, especially those who need extra walks, medication routines, or just a little more patience and love. I also have found a niche with helping households who have multiple pets, as I keep my "additional" pet rate low. I don't believe in up-charging families when the extra work for another pet is quite minimal. :) While I’m unable to board pets in my own home due to my roommate’s allergies, I’m happy to offer house-sitting so your pets can stay in the comfort of their familiar surroundings. This is especially helpful for pets who may feel anxious when their family is away. I have mostly casually pet-sit through connections with friends since 2022, but I've enjoyed it so much that I decided to give Rover a try in late 2025. I typically only pet-sit in the fall/winter months (October-April) as I'm away a lot myself in the spring/summer. As previously mentioned, I typically pet-sit homes for multiple pets, as I don't believe in up-charging for multiple animals when additional pets don't provide that much more work. However, I typically do bookings longer than 1 week. I may have to add an additional charge for shorter stays due to the time it takes for me to coordinate staying at a home outside my neighborhood and routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize consistency, comfort, and clear communication. I follow the pet’s usual routines closely if detailed instructions are provided. I like a clean home and provide the same for my pets, making sure litterboxes are cleaned daily and pet bedding is washed regularly. I provide regular updates so owners feel confident while they’re away.
Ratings and reviews
Emily did a fantastic job taking care of our 3 fur babies — a medium dog and our 2 cats. She sent us photos and videos of them and also stayed in touch when she had questions about the pet’s health needs. She kept our home neat and tidy and it was helpful that she had a similar routine to mine as well. We have a shy dog and she was also able to meet with us before our trip away to be more familiar with her walking habits. Thank you Emily for taking such great care of them!
Thanks Emily!! She cared for my 2 ferrets while I was away on a long weekend. They are a lot to handle, but she was able to keep my cute wiggly beasties in line.
A friend connected me with Emily who house-sitted twice during the holidays in 2023 and 2024 to care for my elderly cat Sketch. She was very warm and friendly, kept my apartment clean, and made sure Sketch was loved and cared for. :)

Schedule
My day job is doing IT/Tech Support for healthcare software. I work-from-home (WFH) 4 days a week with only 1 day in-office weekly, so your pets will enjoy plenty of daytime companionship and care. I may be out some evenings for extracurricular classes or social events, but I always make sure pets are settled and comfortable before I head out, and also when I return.
