I would likely either check on your pets multiple times a day and/or stay the night there depending on the needs of your animal (s). I would send at least a picture or a video of the animal every time I visit them, and offer them as much love and support as I feel they need.

Growing up, my family always had animals. Dogs, cats, birds, and an iguana. I loved growing up surrounded by so many animals and I always had a hand in taking care of them. Currently, I personally have a cat, a crested gecko, and a corn snake.
