My husband and I have always had dogs and cats. We recently said good bye to our 2 16 year old mini-doxies. We miss the pitter patter of their paws and are looking to fill that gap. Although we are not ready to be full time pet parents right now, we would love to take care of your pups. As we had a paralyzed doxie and one with diabetes, we are adept at administering medication and expressing male bladders. Are you in the area on vacation and need someone to watch your pup while you go on an adventure, we can help. Just send a message. Pick up/drop off may be available.

Emily and Leroy provided loving overnight care to my two spirited chocolate labs. They sent regular updates, pictures, and even a video of them frolicking in their fenced yard. Highly recommend these wonderful pet sitters/friend!
Our 11 month old, rambunctious cavalier King Charles spaniel had a wonderful vacation with Emily and Leroy! She went to the beach, on wonderful walks, and had great lap naps. She will definitely be back to visit her new friends the next time we go out of town.

Emily has cared for our beloved 5 year old cavachon, Divot on several occasions. By our second drop off to Emily’s home, Divot was eager to go with her. Emily is a careful listener. I gave her Divot’s instructions. She explains things well so you know what to expect as she will understand your expectations as well. Communication is one of the number of things Emily does well. She had Divot blend into her family. Which wasn’t hard to do as it is a perfect setting. If you are lucky enough to book with Emily you are sure to be pleased with her care of your pet.
Emily has cared for our dog Pepper in her home while we were traveling. Pepper is a mutt, the size and with some of the genetics of a Yorkshire terrier. Pepper is a rescue and is not secure around strangers. She prefers staying with Emily to staying in a kennel. I know Emily well and can testify that she and her husband Leroy have good judgment and are unflappable, which are valuable attributes in animal care.
Emily is one of the most trusted and responsible people I know. She has cared for my small dog multiple times and has a been great comfort because I know my dog is getting love and the best of care.

Schedule
I work out of the home 2-3 days a week and volunteer drive for a local organization. Your pup would not be left for more than 4 hours without me or my husband checking in.

Safety, trust & environment
At Our Home: We have a small fenced in yard. No pet is left unattended when outside. Walks and hikes with your pup are always an option, either in the neighborhood or if they like to ride in the car, there are many trails nearby. At Your Home: I will follow whatever instruction you give me. My preference is to watch your pup in your home as they will be most comfortable there, but they are welcome in my home as well.

A typical day
We have Acadia National Park in our backyard and plenty of other walking trails. Walks are for sniffing. We like to take our time. Like to play fetch? Me too! Does your pup like puzzles? So good for mental stimulation.
