Hi, I’m Emily! I’ve been caring for animals since my early college days. My long-term plan is to eventually have a little fur family of my own: a Sammy, Husky, a third dog (which I haven’t decided on yet), and a Persian cat. 🐾 In recent years, after moving into my own apartment, I spent a lot of time debating whether it was finally time to get my first pet. The problem was, I also love to travel, and I wasn’t sure I was ready to give that up. I decided to foster for a while, which eventually led me to pet daycare and then Rover. It’s turned out to be the best of both worlds! I get to spend time with animals I love while still having the flexibility to travel. What started as a small side quest has turned into something I genuinely love and don’t want to give up, and I’m so grateful to everyone who has trusted me with their pets. When your pet is with me, I treat them like they’re my own. I take the time to understand their personality and routines, learn what they like and dislike, and gently work on habits that may need a little extra attention. I’ve cared for pets with anxiety, disabilities (including blindness and deafness), medication needs, seniors, and puppies. Every pet is different, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know all of their little quirks and figuring out what makes them comfortable and happy.

Emily took great care of Oliver! She was communicative and sent amazing pictures of him, would definitely have him stay with her again. When I she dropped him off, he was sad to see her go!

Schedule
I currently work a remote job and generally available throughout the week for doggy day care and boarding. I can also do drop-ins and walks as long as there is flexibility in the appointment time.

I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for based on their individual personality and needs. I take precautions to create a safe environment and always make sure we’re aligned on your pet’s routine, preferences, and any special instructions.
A typical day
My favorite activities with the pets I watch are teaching new tricks, reinforcing good habits, and finding fun ways to keep them engaged. I’m currently working toward my dog training certification, which I’m really excited about! I’ve also been learning and experimenting with different ways to help pets who experience separation anxiety. For walks, my favorite spots are Fort Greene Park and Pacific Park.
