I currently work part-time at a desk job, so I'll appreciate any chance I can get to hang out with your pets or go for a walk! My availability is best on the weekdays, which allows me to easily stop by, feed, and walk your pets if you're busy during normal working hours.

I have a deep love for animals and a lot of experience caring for them. At my childhood home, I looked after two dogs, three cats (foster fails), and one red-eared slider turtle (rescued from the side of a busy street). Here in Ithaca, I help take care of my housemate's energetic cat. In my free time, I love to fill it with spending time with animals, like visiting Farm Sanctuary by Watkins Glen to see the rescued barn animals. I also volunteer at the Sciencenter, where I handle reptiles and aquatic animals such as corn snakes, geckos, lizards, and even a horseshoe crab! I enjoy teaching kids about these animals and having them engage with them kindly and safely.

Emily is awesome!! My dog cannot go to regular doggy daycare because he doesn't like other dogs. He also suffers from separation anxiety and I have never had to get a sitter before. Emily knew just what to do and Loki did so great with her. She came right over when I needed her and was just so easy going and professional. There are a lot of sitters on Rover and I was overwhelmed by the choices. I chose Emily because she had just updated her calendar and availability and had a lot of positive reviews. Thank you Emily!!!

Emily is one of the most dedicated pet caregivers I know. She successfully managed to take on the challenge of taking care of 3 new kittens during the pandemic, as well as a turtle and a dog. Her friends and family (and myself) know she is the first person to contact with any pet care questions. She truly loves animals and understands their needs.
