Pet care experience

I keep them active & entertained!

I'm a dog-lover, as are my two young boys who stay home with me. We would love to care for your dog, take him on walks, and let him play in our backyard. We'd take him on one walk per day. We would make sure that he's not bored by letting him play inside the house or even taking him to the park to play. Otherwise, he can just hang with us while we are cooking or playing at home. I grew up having a dog at home. I was usually the one to feed and walk the dog every day, and I loved it. Recently, I was nannying full time for a family with a dog. Since I'm no longer doing that, I miss having a dog around. That's why I joined Rover. I love dogs.

Emily and her boys were excellent. Emily was so good to keep us updated on our standard poodle, Baxter. It was easy to see from the photos that Baxter adjusted quickly to his new environment.

Emily was very responsive and communicated very well with us. She did just what we asked her to do. We hired her to take our dog on a 15-minute walk, and she even took the time to take a picture of him to send to us.

Emily was great with our boy and was flexible with our schedule. Definitely recommend hitting her up if you need drop-ins for your pets.

Schedule

I am a stay-at-home-mom, homeschooling my kindergarten son and caring for my younger one as well. We would love to have a dog in the mix every once in a while to play with, care for, and take on walks.

Safety, trust & environment

I let them roam about freely inside our house, which is a 3000 square foot home. We also have a large yard that has a dog run, so we could let your dog run out there between our two trees. If I come to your home for a drop-in visit, we will let your dog out for about 15 minutes to play and go to the bathroom.

A typical day

My boys and I will take your dog on a 20 minute walk in our hilly neighborhood. He will be good and worn out after that, probably. We also will play outside in the yard with the dog if he's on our dog run leash. Inside, we'll play toys with him at times and then go along with our normal day, which is mostly spent at home, doing chores, homeschooling, and sometimes running an errand or two.

I would like to be sure that your dog is good with children. My sons love dogs, and they would probably want to pet them and play with them. I would make sure they don't hit the dog or play rough with them, though.
