I recently lost my Boston terrier, and I’m not ready for a new puppy just yet. So, to get my dog fix, I’m here to help you! Win win! As far as my training background, I volunteered with Guide Dog for the Blind as a Puppy Raiser. This program gives puppies to homes to raise them for the first 1.5 years of their life, then the puppies are returned to the Guide Dogs For the Blind campus for specialized training. I’ve also worked for multiple years in a dog boarding/kennel environment, and love interacting with different breeds with their unique traits and personalities. I’m comfortable with different dietary requests and quirks, and with giving meds. Respecting non-verbal communication from dogs like stiffened body language, whale eye, lip licking and yawning is extremely important to me. I strive to make a dog comfortable in a new environment, not just tolerate it. I deeply understand that trusting someone with your pet is very difficult. I can assure you that I care, and can provide good communication to make it less difficult.
