My name is Emily, and I love dogs—and cats—and have always loved taking care of them. They are wonderful companions that bring so much joy to our lives, and it’s always been my genuine pleasure to treat each unique personality with the extravagant love they innately deserve. My part time work gives me the facility to work around your needs. I have a lot of experience with animals (and I’m always delighted to get more). I’ve been a dog walker and a dog/cat sitter, in addition to owning three dogs of my own in the past. I am comfortable with dog breeds of all sizes, and with the unique behaviors that different dog breeds and types, such as sight hounds and guarding breeds, can display in a walk or sitting environment. I treat all animals with intention and respect, projecting calm authority and letting them show me their personalities. I also love getting information about them from an owner, since you know your pet best— it’s kind of like a behavioral cheat code! I’m comfortable with giving dogs medication orally or topically, and am willing to administer shots if the owner demonstrates the technique and trusts my aptitude. I cannot currently host pets in my own apartment, since my kitty does not like other animals, but I am happy to stay with your furry friends while you are away and give them all of the pets. My philosophy about home stays is something that my dad taught me as a child— “Always leave the place cleaner than you found it.” I need a little advance notice for in-home stays, especially extended ones, but I love getting the opportunity to get to know pets better in their own environments! I’m experienced with following walking timelines and care directions, and I want both you and your animal to feel as comfortable as possible with the situation. I believe that your pet is in great hands with me, and I’m always more than happy to meet with you beforehand to discuss their individual needs and preferences. Hope to see you soon!
